![]() Author has written 1 story for Warcraft. Hello, fanfiction world! I don't generally write fan fiction, but I definitely love reading it (mostly WarCraft). This profile is created mostly for commenting, although it seems that I have been recently in the mood for writing, so you may see a story or two published. Please note that if I comment on your story, I will pick it apart. I have yet to see a work on either here or fictionpress that is so good it could go straight to the printing press and the B&N bookshelves (though some come very close), so most of us can improve in our writing and that's only possible if one receives criticism of one's writing and not just praise. Not that I am a brilliant writer myself, but I think that I generally am able to provide useful criticism. So please don't get offended by my comments, they are only there to help you. Plus, putting things up on fanfiction is kinda like asking for it :) I am currently considering getting back to writing, which I have not done seriously in years. There are a couple of story ideas that have been floating in my head, one of them a science-fictionish American anti-utopia (no, not a rant about the Republicans taking over... I'm not that lame, thank you), another a Warcraftish/Tolkienesque/Homeric type of fantasy epic, but the latter is currently taking a second seat to the former. Either way I write slowly, so it will probably take me a few months to come up with anything worthwhile. I will post a link here once I do put it up on fictionpress, though. The current fic I'm working on, Healing the Woundsis an experiment of mine as I have never really written fan fiction. It's essentially a reflection on the nature of the sacrifice made on Mount Hyjal and its repercussions, set in the world of Weiila's Diplomacy. I guess that makes it somewhat AU. Please do review and leave some constructive critique while you're at it. I love no review more than the one that points out faults in my stories - it's the only way for me to improve. Thanks in advance :) Oh, and as a P.S. I am a Muslim, and as we a rare fish in these here internet waters, don't feel shy to ask me about it. I don't bite and if you always wanted to ask a Muslim a question, but could never find one to do so (or were afraid to), this is your chance :) All the best, -- du Tapis |
