![]() After watching 'Rose Colored Glasses' we ((( Yana and Carley ))) decided that we absolutely HAD to write a post-ep fic together. Thus, the joint account 'NoFunnyStuff' was created. Those of you that have re-watched the final few minutes of the episode as many times as we have, will undoubtedly know why we chose this name. Jane: Obviously, you want to dance. And because we're both horrible at writing about ourselves, we decided to write about each other. Some Facts about Yana (as told by Carley): Yana is my Jello soul mate, she completes me in every way, we finish each other’s sentences as if we know each other’s innermost thoughts. And I’m going to stop with the cheese now because she’s probably gagging as she reads this. Yana hates cheese, well not the chew and swallow type cheese, she actually loves that, in fact she packed some for her lunch today . . . anyway, where was I? Ah yes, cheesiness, she hates it, especially that in the form of clichéd, mushy, makes you gag type writing. I actually hate it too, which seems to be why she’s dubbed me her own personal cheese detector. Fortunately, when the going gets cheesy, the Yana gets nutty. And by that I mean Nutella. Delicious, chocolaty, hazelnut spread, which when combined with graham crackers and the occasional marshmallow, puts Yana into a post orgasmic state of bliss. Alright, I shall now make an attempt to move past the silliness. Yana really is awesome, she’s always there to bounce ideas off of, and is my own personal motivator. She harasses me when I don’t feel like writing and rambles late into the night with me about anything and everything. You're amazing, my dear. :) Some Facts about Carley (as told by Yana): Carley is my Canadian counterpart. She's a less anxious, more cool and calm version of me (or maybe I’m just the more flighty version of her…hmm). Sometimes I'd like to think she's the Jane to my Lisbon (without the sexual tension and general obnoxious behavior haha). Really though, she's not kidding when she says we finish each other's sentences, especially when it comes to our mutual Jello obsession. She really is my J/L soul mate. Beyond that, Carley’s also my writing therapist. Whenever I’m on the verge of a meltdown, she coaxes me out of it with the promise of amazing rice krispy treats (which she taught me how to make) and words of encouragement! She also rides horses, has an incredibly diverse and cool taste in music, and loves to put Jane in awkward situations that remind readers that he is in fact human (as an example, please see Quid Pro Quo Chapter 9). I love that she takes risks in her writing, is incredible at describing scenery, and always helps me out when I’m struggling with a particular scene or dialogue. Also, if it weren’t for our joint insomnia and obsession with Simon Baker, this writing collaboration would never happen, so here’s to poor sleeping habits, hot Aussies in three-piece suits, and Carley’s patience with me…oh and of course the fact that neither of us can ever pass up a heaping spoon of Nutella. ;) It's pretty obvious that we ship Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon from The Mentalist, so here's a great forum for all things Jello.
