Author has written 15 stories for Buffy X-overs, Harry Potter, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Ginger Snaps, King Kong, Marvel, Angel, A song of Ice and Fire, Greek Mythology, and Aliens/Predator. I guess I really should write a profile. I'll keep it short. I am a fifty-something year old male speech-language pathologist and (amateur) primatologist, married to a fantastic woman, father to one lovely daughter, and step father to two more lovely young women. I am an old comic book and pulp fiction geek, and l am one of those people who sees Buffy the Vampire Slayer as one of the truly iconic shows in modern television. I am also a fan of the British television series The Avengers. Every work of fan fiction I attempt here is intended as a tribute to the original creators, even if my work strays from their vision. On the other hand, when I am writing stories here, most of the time I really should be doing something else. One last thing. For Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans I can not emphasize enough this entirely unsolicited plug for this virtual series: I think it compares favorably with the "official" Darkhorse Buffy Season 8 (I don't know these people, and have no relationship with them whatsoever). List of stories Maybe Coming Sometime when I have the Time: In tribute to the recent passing of author Robert B. Parker, I am now planning a couple of crossovers involving his characters. One is a Spenser/Sunny Randall/Fringe crossover set in the Fringe alterniverse, and another is a crossover between Parker's gunslingers Virgil Cole and Everett Hitch and the Buffyverse, specifically the Gorch brothers and the Immortal Waitress. Searching the Amber Rabbithole for Alice: In a chaotic Boston that is increasingly being quarantined by Fringe Division, an alternate Spenser searches for a missing girl with the help of NBI profiler Susan Hirsch, Captain Sonya Randall of the depleted Boston Police Department, and of course Hawk. Hellmouth: When the Gorch brothers ride through Appaloosa, kidnap Allie, and kill several people in town, Cole and Hitch give chase. But the Gorch brothers and a newly transformed Allie turn out to be more trouble than even Virgil Cole could possibly anticipate. The Reflections of an Immortal Waitress series: Joss Whedon's original conception of the character who became Buffy was "Rhonda the Immortal Waitress"-someone who appears to be unremarkable, and an easy victim, but who instead turns out to be someone extraordinary. I like the idea, and it actually dovetails with a concept I played with 30 years ago. This series would take the Immortal Waitress through different periods of the Whedonverse, including encounters with Angelus, Angel, Buffy, and the crew of Serenity. I may also write team ups with some other famous fictional characters as well. Charity Work: Veronica Mars/Buffyverse/Preston & Child crossover. PI Veronica Mars gets a new client from her benefactor, Alyosius Pendergast: The "new" client, however, turns out to be someone Veronica already knows. Introduced Predator: BtVS/Predator crossover. Something is killing predators on their homeworld. Something they can't see, much less fight. Something from Earth. Now, a predator matriarch turns to another kind of predator who can see, and kill, what they can't: Buffy Summers. Indiana Jones and the Ape God of Atlantis: Indiana Jones/King Kong crossover. Indiana Jones leads an expedition to the Land Behind the Mists, where he joins forces with the new King of "Skull Island" and two deadly big game hunters against assorted Nazi scum. This last is sort of a perpendicular sequel to my earlier King Kong/Doc Savage/Black Panther crossover. In this story, however, Kong was not rescued by Doc Savage, and ended up being shot down as portrayed in the Jackson movie and the Merian C. Cooper original. This story uses the same concept behind "Skull Island" that I used in The Giant King, and it reintroduces some of the same characters from that fic, most in very different roles. It's also my tribute to Peter Jackson's April Fools joke about a sequel to King Kong. |
