Author has written 1 story for Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

Hello everyone!

Yeah, so I am a rookie when it comes to the writing and I feel lucky if I manage to say anything even remotely funny twice in the year. However, I am not stranger to the books and I have noticed how they build a good story though only practice makes perfect so be patient.

So how come i decided to begin writing? Well... About a week ago (Today´s 11.9.-11) I made a mistake that The Son of Neptune had been published. I missed my mark by a month and I didn´t realize it at first, so it was then when I stumbled on this amazing fanfiction story of the Son of Neptune written by Newbee in the site called fanpop. I was so frustrated that I began to read. At first it was dull reading but soon I was hooked. The humor was unbelievable and fighting scene´s even better, and so I was motivated to write a story of my own. I chose Percy because it´s fantasy, it has a solid background where to search for answers and most of the kids who read it is under 16.

At first I just wrote that Percy woke up lying on a park bench and there was a girl sleeping against his chest and then I paused. I realized that I had no idea what I was doing. So I began to read ancient mythology the hole day. Then I began write again. It was hard at first, but now that I have written well over 23 pages, I feel like the story has it´s own mind and I am just a messenger. I hope that someone would post soon, I have no idea how I am doing since I am overthinking the scenes so I am not sure if my jokes are even funny. No-one laughs at overused jokes, and even less if they are of your own making.

The other reason why I am writing is that I do need to practice my english. Please post if you see me repeating the same mistakes.

Building critizism is welcome and I would like to hear your opinion on where the story or relationships should go, I am open to outside influence.

Thanks.

Ps: The books that I have went through over the years is as it follows: The first was Belgarion series when I was like 11, then came the Discworld, The Lord of the Rings, the Wheel of Time, Harry Potter, over twenty books from the Dragonrealm (the first six books was EPIC), Eragon, The Lord of the Rings (again), and at least 20 other series from fantasy alone. I just finished the Night Angel (cool) and I am working on the Game of Thrones (one of the best in a very odd way. I couldn´t have believed that politics could be so interesting in medieval times). I wonder how I could have missed them for so long ... Anyway, I have read some sciencefiction like "Der Schwarm," that book was a beast to read and then there was the Star Wars. All of them. I know. Then there´s some horror from Stephen King and so on. I also love great parody, though I don´t read it. I always watch some episode from TFS in Youtube, just so that I got the right attitude when writing in Percy´s point of view. Cracks me up every time.

The Son of Neptune reviews
Yeah, so this my first book ever, so be kind and criticize. I have noticed that most fanfiction stories cover things too quikly, so I decided to do with the old school methods: pain and suffering with a pang and laughter. Also, I do know what I am doing!
