Aspiring mad scientist and amateur writer. Life gets in the way of writing a lot, and I'm a Likes: Stories; relaxation; living in a world without rampant bigotry, unsustainable class divisions, and morally bankrupt socio-economic practices wherever I look (hey, a guy can dream). Dislikes: Bad spelling / grammar / writing (especially my own, please point it out if you see anything wrong with my work); hard work; being stuck in a world with rampant bigotry, unsustainable class divisions, and morally bankrupt socio-economic practices wherever I look; being constantly filled with tooth-quivering rage due to the previously noted state of the world. (I'm not a fan of the world as it is, if that wasn't clear.) Fandoms I'm in / works I like (in no particular order, and I've probably forgotten some): Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, RWBY, Red Vs. Blue, Percy Jackson, Fate/Stay Night, Katawa Shoujo, Sword Art Online, Bleach, Exalted, Mass Effect, FFVII, FFXIII, Danny Phantom, Fullmetal Alchemist, Avatar, Discworld, Snow Crash, Planned fics / plot bunnies: • Of Scions And Swords (working title): Percy Jackson AU / not-quite-a-crossover-but-heavily-influenced-by a whole pile of other things -- Nine-year-old runaway Luke Castellan meets a weird guy on a train. For the Olympians, the Titans, the Giants, the Protogenoi, and Chiron's sanity, everything goes downhill from there. Contains divine politics, the social contract, love across battle lines, heroic sacrifices, creative interpretation of prophecies, and the True Meaning Of Christmas (TM). • In Harm's Way (working title): Fate series AU, starting from Fate/Zero, continuing into F/SN, and going out from there. Inspired by several sources. • Blade Works Online: F/SN / SAO crossover. In the hours after the "SAO Incident", Kikuoka Seijirou has his hands full rallying volunteers, fending off the media, and placating the government. Somewhere in this, he finds the time to make a phone call to an old acquaintance in the London government. Some time later, Shirou Emiya's phone rings. Aincrad goes downhill from there. Contains VR shenanigans, improvised magitech, dual-wielding, Interface Screw, Shirou and Kirito's messiah complexes, Asuna kicking ass at high speed, possible cooking duels, PR gambits, improbable applications of Cartesian dualism, the Law of Narrative Causality, Heroic Spirits being dicks, and • (Untitled) Mass Effect AU: On the Normandy's maiden voyage, Commander Shepard runs into her brother on Eden Prime. Everything is revealed to have been going downhill for some time. Contains Infiltrator shenanigans, found families, Garrus calibrating, Tali being adorable, the Cerberus Taco Cart, prophecy abuse, competitive balance getting mass-effect-fielded out the window, and biotic Shepards that don't forget about their gravity-control powers just because there's a cutscene on. • Oh Gods It's Happening Again: FFVII AU/time travel: Gast and Ifalna's stay in Icicle Inn is disrupted by a suspiciously well-informed waiter. For Hojo, Jenova, and President Shinra, it all goes downhill from there. Inspired by a number of other fics, which I will list as soon as I remember what they are. Contains Turk shenanigans, time-travel plots, weaponized literary analysis, oversized swords, Sephiroth's parental issues, Angeal's martyr complex, Aerith being a shining beacon of everything good about human nature, Hojo being a black pit of everything bad about human nature, Zack being a lovable puppy, and other canon elements. • Danny Phantom / Exalted crossover. The Fenton Ghost Portal was designed to access the ghost realm... but something much bigger and weirder came through it. When Daniel Fenton is miraculously revived at Amity Park General Hospital, hours after being fatally electrocuted by ectoplasmic current, he can't shake the feeling that something is off. For one thing, he seems to have superpowers. For another, he has a disturbingly charismatic voice in his head telling him how lovely human blood tastes, especially when it belongs to your friends and family. And then there's that pinging noise every time someone says his name... Contains Abyssal!Danny, Resonance, the Neverborn being horrible, Vlad being evil, powers and prices, and the Men In White.
