Author has written 3 stories for Brothers & Sisters, and National Treasure. I am a double major in Art and History at the University of Wisconsin, and I am an avid writer when it comes to my interests. I work 20-40 hour weeks and am working hard at school but that's okay because I like it. I cannot believe it's been almost ten years since I've been on this site. With my writing, I like to include lessons of life in general, mostly the collaboration between life and death. The way I see it is that a person can only realize the true value of life through witnessing the horrible predicaments that we find ourselves in. Two prime examples I use for this are the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and the events following Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana in 2005. Literature is one of the best ways to spread wisdom, so the best advice I can give to writers is 'Think about what you want to teach.' With my only complete fic at the moment, Pirates of the Caribbean: Voyage to the Past, gathering cobwebs after almost two years, I was reminded by that story that after years of not writing, I still had that knack. The fact that I cranked out a 20,000+ word story in ten days still astounds me. After seeing the third movie about twenty times in theaters (literally), I wanted to try a new kind of story in the summer of 2007. For this, I wanted to create an atmosphere whereas Elizabeth gets to be the hero, with Jack along for the ride. Will also gets to be a hero in his own means by learning a very important lesson. After an unsuccessful attempt at a sequel, I let that one rest on the shelf and focused on other interests. In January 2009, I decided to try a Brothers and Sisters fic based on the hit ABC show, starring the youngest of the Walker Clan, Justin Walker, and his girlfriend (and soon-to-be-wife) Rebecca. As in the Pirates of the Caribbean Fic, I wanted to create that atmosphere of the learning of life's lessons one of the hardest ways imaginable. Faced with his own death by execution by a band of Arabic Militant radicals, Justin is holding his own while Rebecca and the rest of the Walker Clan set out on a quest to save him. Four months later, I started my first National Treasure fanfic starring our favorite treasure hunters, Benjamin Gates, Abigail Chase, and Riley Poole, along with Ben's parents as well as a few new faces in line for the adventure of their lives, or at least one of the adventures. In this story, Ben finds himself in real danger with someone from his past, and is forced to leave a valuable treasure in the hands of Abigail, Riley, and his parents, even willing to end his own life in the process. Both Day of Judgment and National Treasure: Into the West are consisting of over 75,000 words and are still in progress. |
