![]() Author has written 12 stories for Victoria. Hello, I'm an amateur writer. About me I can say that I am half Spanish and half Latin American (I live in Spain), I love cinema, television and literature, and I am passionate about history. I am a big fan of the romantic novels of British writers (especially of century XIX) such as Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, Charlotte Brontë, etc. Currently there are several TV series that I love, such as Outlander, Poldark, but I certainly I was delighted with the relationship between Lord Melbourne and Victoria in the first season of the Victoria series (2016) by Daisy Goodwin. And that's why I decided to devote some of my time to writing stories inspired by that magnificent couple. I think the writer did a great job, making the relationship between Lord Melbourne and Victoria very romantic, charming and intense. It is obvious that the relationship between the characters in television fiction is very different from how was the relationship between historical personages in real life, but the result is grateful. Aside from the script, the wonderful romantic and sexual tension between the actors Jenna Coleman and Rufus Sewell on the screen, is other reason why that relationship is so beautiful. On the contrary in television fiction the relationship between Albert and Victoria seems terrible to me. Albert's character in the series seems to me to be a mix of the most unbearable part of Justin Bieber and the most mechanical and unexpressive part of android of Prometheus (the movie), with a hint of the part most ridiculous and freak character of Derek Zoolander. The result is a boring, insipid and insufferable character. And the consequence is that the relationship between Victoria and Albert in the series is unbearable, especially compared to the relationship between Lord Melbourne and Victoria. And the worst thing is that the relationship between Albert and Victoria makes the character of Victoria also be more boring and insipid. That's why I loved the first three episodes of the series, the fourth episode I liked but a lot less than the previous ones (because Albert had already appeared), the fifth episode seemed me depressing, and the last three episodes I sincerely hated. That is why my stories will always be about the relationship between Victoria and Lord Melbourne, for what we could not see in televised fiction. I hope you liked them, but in any case I hope your sincere opinion. |
