Author has written 1 story for Fairy Tales. The Boring Stuff I’m eighteen years old, from Washington, DC. I attend Howard University and my major is marketing…or management, I haven’t quite decided yet. My dad’s an entertainment lawyer and my mom’s a dentist…no, I’m not rich. I have an older sister, waaay older, she’s 32, and two nieces, aged 10 and 7. My family has a really diverse background: African, Seminole, Scottish and German. We’ve discovered some really interesting stories surrounding family members dating back to the 1700s. I’ll probably write about them when I get a chance. Just incase anyone was wondering, I’m 5’7” tall, model thin (I try SO hard to gain weight, it just won’t happen…seriously, I eat like a man!), I’ve got long, wavy/curly dark brown hair with copper highlights, dark brown eyes (I like to think my great grandmother’s lavender-eye genes somehow made their way into me, so my eyes are officially Mulberry under the right lighting :-D), and I’ve got caramel skin. My favorite song was “Caramel” by City High when it came out because of the chorus: Every where I go I’m spotted/And every thing I want, I’ve got it/5-5 with brown eyes (Caramel complexion)/Smile like the sunrise (And a body like heaven). Shallow, I know. Favorites Books: Six Out Seven – Jess Mowry, The Mists of Avalon – Marion Zimmer Bradley (I cry like 5x!), Daughter of the Forest (and the rest of the trilogy) – Juliet Marillier, Daughter of the Blood (and the rest of the trilogy) – Anne Bishop, Roots – Alex Haley, Their Eyes Were Watching God – Zora Neale Hurston, Big Girls Don’t Cry and PG County by Connie Briscoe, all the Harry Potter books (although the last one was kind of :- for me, Hermione seemed a bit bitchy, but people do have their moods), Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility and Emma – Jane Austen. Movies: Father of the Bride (I cry buckets!), A League of Their Own (there I go with the waterworks again), Bad Boys I and II, Batman Begins, Shark Tale, Shrek, The Incredibles, The Best Man, Brown Sugar, CLUELESS, Meet the Parents…and a bunch of others I can’t think of right now. Sport: Football! (The American version). Nothing better than watching 12 guys line up opposite each other, ready to attack…in those tight pants! Basketball and tennis tie for second place. I used to play tennis (I was pretty good, actually), and I think basketball players are sexy! But, yes, I do know what’s going on down on the court. I yell at the ref better than my father and talk smack with the best of them! Thing to do other than write: DANCE! DANCE! DANCE! DANCE! I’ve been performing onstage since the age of three and I LOVE it! Color: pale yellow, orange, gold. Song: Butterfly Kisses – Bob Carlisle, Renee – Lost Boyz, Tell Me Something Good – Chaka Khan and Rufus. Music: Anything I can dance to, really…I hate slow songs unless I’m really in the mood. Food: Hamburgers and French Fries! Whooo! But, I pretty much love anything you can put ketchup on. Oh! And I love Subway sandwiches. I’m addicted to: clothes. I’m a slave to fashion. One day I hope to own my own boutique. I’ve been compiling a book of my own designs since I was 13. place in my hometown: it would have to be either the Asian Gardens of the National Arboretum, the National Botanical Gardens…or The Valley or The Yard of my school. My Stories This is where I tell anyone who cares - or randomly stumbles upon this little section -about my story ideas. You can drop me a review to tell me which one seems the most interesting or whatever. Potential What’s To Do? (tentative title) Seeing Stars (tentative title) Beneath The Dust Walk Away Thou Shall Not (I’ll describe them later, but right now I’m sleepy!) I’m also at fictionpress under the same author name. That’s where the above stories (except Seeing Stars) will go. |
