Hey! I'm midsummer station. My username comes from Owl City's newest album, and I chose it obviously because I love 'em. My real name is Julia, but you can basically call me whatever you want. I'm fine with nicknames, as long as they aren't utterly ridiculous. I love writing and it is my main strength; becoming an author someday is a dream that I will never cease to pursue. I love pretty much all forms of writing; fantasy, dystopian, utopian, science fiction. The only reason I don't like certain genres such as realistic and historical fiction is because you have your limits when you write those stories. You have to make things... realistic, obviously, and I'm just not a fan of that. I like to be creative and exciting with what I write. I don't want limits.

Aside from writing, I also love reading, drawing, and singing. I don't draw much, but I normally use a certain style of art (which just so happens to be anime), and I often draw pictures for my friends at school. I don't sing very much either, as I'm shy and I do in fact have stage fright, but sometimes when I'm alone in my room, I listen to songs and sing along with them. And now for reading - man, books are my life. I've read so many books in the past that are actually the roots to the stories that I write now. I wouldn't have thought to be a writer in the first place if it weren't for people like Suzanne Collins and Erin Hunter. They basically taught me how to write; when I read their books, I found lots of new words and ways to describe things and add more detail. So I'll thank them for that. My three most favorite book series are Percy Jackson & The Olympians by Rick Riordan, The Warriors Series by Erin Hunter, and of course, the Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins.

I also love music. I'm not exactly into most mainstream and pop music, but I do like some songs I hear on the radio, such as Imagine Dragons, Taylor Swift, and Maroon 5. But I also love songs from bands that you don't typically hear every day, like Hollywood Undead, Black Veil Brides, and of course, The Beatles! :D And then there's Vocaloid, a form of computerized music with enhanced Japanese voices. I don't understand Japanese, which is why I don't know why I like the music, but still. I do.

Well, as of right now, that's all I have to say. I'm still a bit new here, so if I fail at something on here, I'd appreciate some help. Thanks for taking the time to read this (if you did, of course) and hopefully you'll see some fanfictions up as soon as possible!
