A little about me??? hmmmm... I am a reader NOT a writer although one day maybe I will be brave enough to post my own ramblings...! I have the utmost respect for all you author's out there for all your hard work and unpaid time spent in actually completing your own fic's, what makes me laugh is the people who flame you because you are not sticking to cannon...ermmm isn't this a fan fiction site? if you want to read cannon go read the actual books...cant get more cannon than that! Then ask yourself why you are on a fan fiction site if you really did not want to read something just a bit different lol!

One of the main things that truly bug me about cannon "Harry Potter" is why oh why was he so thick...yes I know he eventually solved all the clues...along with an awful lot of help and nudging along for the most part, it left me groaning into the books! Harry knew from his very first year at Hogwarts that Voldamort would eventually come back so it makes no sense to me how he was so slack when it came to learning, to me it seems a little unbelievable for if you had a special ability and you knew the greatest threat your world had seen in a very long time was coming back...and coming after you, wouldn't you do all you could do to make sure you were ready? yes i know he was young...but no he was never an innocent child, his upbringing put paid to that, the death of Quirrell put paid to that! Also in the books the prophecy did state Harry and Voldamort were to be equals maybe I need to reread the books again because at no time did I ever believe Harry was Voldamort's equal not in any way shape or form unless you count they both looked similar and were both unloved growing up THAT'S IT!!!! I had such hopes of Harry growing into a powerful knowledgable wizard and that seemed to be developing with Harry feeling the magic at Ollivanders...producing a Patronus...fighting off the imperio curse and other such hints, so I almost did a fangirl squeee when finally reading about private lessons with Dumbledore but it was all for naught ... sighh! My faith in the story that could have gone in so many amazing directions fizzled like a giant damp squid...Harry was no Dumbledore, Ginny was and forever more will be nothing but a fangirl, Hermione could never see beyond her own genius (often putting others including harry down due to it), Ron welll...Ron grew up some but yeah nuff said! Neville ohhh Neville there was never enough Neville...or Luna for that matter and poor poor Gred, never will poor poor Forge be the same! Nor was there any finale redemption for Snape and yes I do think he deserved it, yes he was a mean man but he also had a part to play, he couldn't have ever allowed that mask to slip whilst Voldermort was either alive or undead, it must have been a very lonely very bitter very cruel existence ...all for mistakes made in his youth !

Now this... this is what lead me into reading alternative HP fics, so many of you have written a far better story than JKR you guys seriously need to pat yourselves on the back and I for one Thank You!
