Steve and Bucky are rescued by Natasha after their fight with Iron Man. Natasha takes the guys to one of her safe houses, where they can plan their next move, and try to come to terms with what has occurred.

After the events of Civil War, Bucky wakes up, told by Steve that they need to leave. Everyone is coming for him. Everyone being Tony and Ross. Tony just wants some sort of closure, whether that involves Bucky dying, he isn't sure yet. Ross just wants the Winter Soldier, but his intentions aren't clear. All Steve knows is that he can't let Bucky be taken by either of them.

Bucky has been woken from cryofreeze. He interacts with different members of the Avengers to come to terms with his past and decide his future. Story focuses on Bucky with appearances by Tony Stark, T'Challa, Wanda, Clint Barton, Thor, Bruce Banner, Natasha, Steve, Sam, and Vision. Rated T for future chapters. Starts at the end of Captain America: Civil War. Steve obtains the assistance of Thor to restore Bucky's memory and then helps Bucky cope with the memories while working to rebuild his life. On a mission things go wrong and Steve is once again forced to watch as his friend suffers through a healing process more arduous then before.
