"John's heart was pounding in his chest, the seconds unbearable, and then, finally, Lestrade looked up, and John could see it in his eyes." When everyone at a press conference to discuss a development in Sherlock's case receives a mysterious text message, John Watson knows what it means, and goes off in search of the sender. After a particularity stressful case, John Watson and Sherlock Holmes have an encounter that they cannot ignore, but almost destroys their friendship. Watson must learn to deal with his new emotions and possibly a life without his best friend.
