Not accepting PMs for now. Most are irritating ramblings from authors who insist their bad writing isn't bad because they say so. Don't feel like having my time wasted by them, so I'll just say this,

I'm sorry if my review offended you, but I wouldn't say what I said if I didn't honestly think it. I'm not just some troll looking for reactions, I believe that sometimes in order for someone to see what they're doing can be better, they have an easier time seeing it when it's put into words that aren't especially kind. Most people see things differently, however.

Another way to put this might be to say its similar to tough love.

I will insist that my review was not a flame. Rather it was something called constructive critisism. Even if you think the review was rude, at least I tell you why your story has problems and give examples on what can be done to improve, instead of an actual flame that simply tells you your OC is a Mary-Sue, or that your writing just sucks.
