Hi! I haven't gotten around to writing any stories yet, but I plan on it. I've got quite a few stored up in my head - I just have to get them on this website! Ok, things about me... I love to write, eat, sleep, and pretty much do anything but go to school. I've only posted one story and that wound up on another website, but it got some nice reviews - no bad ones, actually, so I'm pretty hopeful about this site, too. However, before you read/review my stories, READ THE FOLLOWING! 1. I WILL NOT tolerate flames! I think they're rude and inconsiderate to the author, so not only will I report any signed-in reviewers who flame me to abuse@fanfiction.net, but I will delete any anonymous flames from my review lists as well. Also, I will NEVER EVER flame another author, I promise. I would, however, appreciate constructive criticism and helpful suggestions. 2. I won't leave a story unfinished. I personally hate it when people do that, so as an author I will never put my readers through that very real agony. 3. I will update as quickly as humanly possible, but I'll need at least 5 reviews per chapter before I do. Come on, you can give me that much in-put and support, right? 4. I promise that I will try my hardest to NEVER EVER CREATE A MARY SUE! I loathe the creatures, and will put each of my characters through the Mary Sue test on councilofelrond.com to try and catch any Mary Sue characteristics. If I do unleash one upon the unsuspecting public, however, please kindly inform me and tell me what you think makes the character a Mary Sue. But please, be nice about it. No one likes to have something like a Mary Sue rubbed in their face. 5. Ok, this one might come across as harsh, but it isn't meant to be. If I ever write a LOTR fanfiction, I would appreciate it if it wasn't torn apart by zealous Tolkien fans. I mean, I'm an avid LOTR fan myself, but I realize that not everyone is and I try to appreciate people's work, even if it doesn't match up perfectly to the books. I've seen all three movies, including the extended editions and the special features provided on all of the DVDs (I'm obsessed with them), read all three books twice (my favorite books), watched T.V. specials and such about Tolkien and his life (very intersting man), but that's about all the effort I'm willing to put into it. Again, no offence to Tolkien fans or anything, but if you read one of my LOTR stories, don't go in expecting to find Tolkien. He won't be there. Just me. Sorry if that's disappointing, but it's true. I AM NOT TOLKIEN. Sorry if I seem a bit paranoid, but some of my friends have had their LOTR stories practically destroyed by Tolkien fans who "look at the trees but don't see the whole forest" so to say. They get too caught up in the details to fully appreciate the story as what it is: fanfiction. Well, I guess that's it for now. But please, READ THE ABOVE BEFORE REVIEWING MY STORIES! Thank you! |
