Hi,

I'm Sal. I live in Australia and am slightly obsessive when it comes to certain TV shows. My show of the moment is NCIS however, two years ago it was Grey's Anatomy. I'm a big fan of shows that require to use your brain a little but I do like the occasional bit of something that will let your mind not have to think.

I'm attempting to return to something that I loved doing when I was younger (God I sound old lol) which was writing. I haven't done it for a very long time and I am hoping that I will get better as I do more.

I do hope that you will be patient with me. I am also grateful for any feedback you may give. I do appreciate constructive criticism however I believe there is no room for nastiness. I don't believe there should be any (more hoping anyway ;) )

In NCIS I don't know whether I prefer Tate or Tiva. I really did like Kate and I think towards the end of her time there something was happening between her and Tony but I feel as though she had to die. I know that sounds terrible but it's a credit to the writers of Ziva to make me think that way. If I ever get around to writing any love stories, most of them would revolve around the fact that Kate had died, but as you all may have noticed, I am slightly obsessed with the (non-slash) relationship that Tony and Gibbs have.

*REAL LIFE UPDATE* For those of you that have been reading Abducted you are aware that I have been having some issues of late with the health of my now-husband and the fact that I am pregnant. Well, basically, my husband needs surgery to survive to see his little girl, his little girl is due this coming Friday the 5th of Nov, 2010. I am literally living some of the dramatic fanfic out there. As such I will not be able to promise you a time nor have any idea of whether I will want to return to writing Abducted but I solemnly hope that I do because I have the final chapters written, I just need to piece them together.

Update 24th July 2011: As you may have noticed, I actually got another chapter posted. I'm not overly happy with it and may rework it in the future but for now, it's posted. As for the RL side of things. We are fine and wonderful. My little girl is eight months old now and growing so quickly that if I blink I feel I'll miss it. As for my husband, he survived surgery and after a tumultuous six weeks, finally got to go home - four days before Christmas. It was the worst time of my life mixed in with the best time of my life as I experienced some of the most extreme forms of emotion! Looking back, I can't say it could have been written any better. Maybe if you're all lucky, you might see an NCIS fic based in reality, or maybe not... time will only tell!

Update 22nd December 2012: Ok, so my muse has decided to revisit me regarding Abducted which is good news for you guys, the bad news is that I'm about three or four chapters after where you guys are without the middle part. I have always promised that this story would get finished because I've had the ending semi written since the beginning which is the section that I'm doing right now. I am so sorry for taking so long with this and I really appreciate the patience that all of you out there have showed regarding this story. I'm hoping to have it complete soon with June being my deadline as I have an extra one on the way and there is no way I will have time to be writing after then. So wish me luck, for both our sakes. Merry Christmas to all you that celebrate and Happy Holidays for those that don't.

I have a theory about some of the fanfic I have been reading:

I think that all of us out there in NCIS land associate ourselves in one way or another with one of the characters. That would be a given in any show. My theory is, what ever relationship you write about in relation to that character, shows a deep desire to have a similar relationship in the real world. It's not a bad thing. I, for example, write all my stories in relation to Tony. There are certain aspects of Tony's character that I can relate to. There are other aspects that I wish I had. My favourite relationship in terms to Tony is Tony/Gibbs or Tony/Tim. There is something that I can see in these relationships that I wish I had.

The other thought is that if a person adds a character of their own design, that character is usually (loosely) based on themselves and they have the desire to be part of that universe (for which I don't blame them.) They are generally happy in their own skin or it's the complete opposite and that character is their ideal person.

Please note: those thoughts are just a theory. They are not meant to hurt people or judge, merely be put out there as an observation and MY opinion. If you feel the need to PM me and abuse the crap out of me for it, that's fine, just ask yourself first what I said to make you upset then yell if you feel the need to. On the other hand, if anyone would like to discuss this theory with me, I would also be happy to discuss it with you.

I try to review everything I read and I try to be as honest as possible without hurting feelings.

The best way to describe my reviewing technique I will "borrow" a quote:

"I don't know much about art, but I know what I like"

Thought I might add story status to my profile to keep you all informed as to what I'm doing:

Abducted: This is another Tony/Gibbs father/son story. I am still in the process of writing it and my plot arch needs work so there may be some time between updates. Please note that they are not intentional and I do try and post a chapter at least once a month. It should be easier now that Father and Son is complete. I am now planning on becoming a one story at a time person - a monogamist hehe... sounds as hard as marriage ;)

My other fics are complete:

Last Kiss: Tate Style. This story involves Tony and Kate going on a date together. I think I'm a Tate fan but am open to Tiva as well as Tabby. If you have heard Last Kiss by Pearl Jam you will know that it's not a happy ending.

Make This Go On Forever: This is another songfic that I wrote for crockettsgirl. I have mentioned in the summary that it could be Tate, Tabby or Tiva. I will let you know that it is a Tabby story but don't disregard it for that. I was thinking of doing similar stories all with either Kate or Ziva but I don't know if I'll ever get to those.

Hope: This story is post-Aliyah. I got to thinking how the writers could fix what is broken at the end of season 6 and so I came up with this. Looking at some of the promos for "Truth or Consequences," I don't think I did too badly well the idea was there anyway :D

Inside Job: This story is now complete and I am very proud that I actually came to an end with it. This is a story about Tony and Gibbs in a father/son bond way, no slash. Early on a Monday morning, Gibbs is having a bad day, being on his third coffee for the morning and it's not even eight in the morning. Not helping that fact is that Tony has not arrived for work and Gibbs in his own way is worried, meaning he's pissed off. Imagine his despair when the main elevator in NCIS opens to reveal a bloodbath and they discover that Tony is the victim.

Father and Son: This story is finally complete after 10 months of writing. I started writing it as a way to deal with my brother being sick (as all the author's notes will explain as you read it.) Gary passed away on the 25th Nov 2009 and this piece is dedicated to his memory. Gibbs and Tony have a run in at an abandoned warehouse, a situation that leaves Tony fighting for his life and Gibbs wracked with guilt. Will they be able to fix this or will team Gibbs disband with Tony fighting for his life and Gibbs no where to be found.

I don't know if I will do any stories for any other fandom. I am very proud of my accomplishments thus far and I hope that you all have a lovely day, week, month or whatever.
