After having been exiled from England, Anne Boleyn enters into a political marriage to King François to extract vengeance upon King Henry and to save France from the Habsburg invaders. Her barren soul is consumed by hatred, but, unexpectedly, she finds her destiny like Virgil's Aeneas.

September 7th, 1533. Everything is perfect. (Or, another "Anne has a son" AU.)

AU. Anne/Charles. Realising the lengths of which Henry would go to marry his new 'love' Anne requests a divorce upon her own accord, one in order to keep her daughter legitimate and to keep herself alive; however it wasn't upon her own accord to have Henry choose a new husband for her. And even less so for him to choose his loyal lap-dog: Charles Brandon, Duke of Suffolk.

AU to S2E18, the episode "Lady in Waiting". Anne Boleyn finds King Henry kissing Jane Seymour who is sitting in his lap, but her shock and grief do not lead to a miscarriage. Finally, she gives birth to a healthy son. Yet, the happiness she yearned to have as Henry's wife and queen is elusive. The king's love leaves her hollow.

Marian meets with Robin Hood in the woods after the siege of Nottingham, and love blossoms in the greenwood under the starry night sky of Sherwood. The action takes place after the episode 2x10 ("Walkabout").

AU to S2E5, the episode "His Majesty's Pleasure". The executions of Thomas More and Bishop Fisher shock the common people and have outrageous consequences. Anne Boleyn and Henry have to deal with the rebellion against the religious reforms, and the great tragedy befalls the nation.

AU to S2E18, the episode "Lady in Waiting". Anne Boleyn discovers Henry kissing with Jane Seymour, and her grief results in her premature, difficult labor. The unfading glory of death in childbirth giving the king a son suddenly seems to Anne more appealing than the doubtful glory of queenship.

What if the Sweat took many people that are most dear to the King's heart? Would it change the man he is about to become, would it spare his six wives their sad fates? Would it prevent his daughter from becoming Bloody Mary? Or will it all go down in the end, since nothing can change the course of events? In this fanfic, God takes drastic measures to show Henry his wrongs.
