This account is for my Pokemon Fanfics taking place in the world created within the Games with nothing to do with the Anime series.

There will be no "shipping" in these stories.

Changes made to the Game world:

Pokemon Advanced Battle University: A school for Pokemon Trainers who wish to dedicate themselves to focusing only on battle and obtaining the strongest Pokemon. The Graduates and Students, though respected for their battle ability, are often cruel, condescending and dismissive of any Pokemon or Trainer they consider weak. PABU has a campus in the Unova Region and in Kanto on Cinnabar where the Mansion once stood.

The League is Not Everything: The stories in place during the games are following trainers on their journey and the "Can't avoid a trainer battle." rule holds no water here. Where people looking to challenge the Elite 4 of their region may choose not to refuse battle, anybody not wanting to fight may do so.

Known Characters Have Aged: All the PCs from the games are in their 20s.

There was a War: Remember how Lt. Surge said he fought in a war? Well that's the one. That's why there are so few healthy and strong Male adults in Japan between the ages of 30 to 55. The war has been over for 30 years ago and America and Japan are now in a happily sustained peace.

Pokemon Kill: It's not going to be a common theme, but this isn't the cartoon world where a kid getting electrocuted or blasted in the face will walk away with some soot in himself.

Pokemon don't say their name: I just can't bring myself to have Scizor try and convey feeling by saying "Sciizor Scizor Zoooor Si Si Scizor!". Instead they will make the noises most likely to be heard from something similar to their shape like a Houndoom will bark, a Scizor will make chittering noises, Magnazone will make electric buzzing noises. Humanoids will probably make some sort of ape noises.

Pokeballs are heavy: The 6 Pokemon Only rule is for League Challengers. People just out for a stroll will not be attacked for having 6 balls on their belt with a few more available here or there, but in my story each ball is the size of a softball (No shrinking), and weighs 3lbs when empty, 4lbs when occupied.

The Pokemon Storage and Transportation System is still a Mystery: And it will never be solved. Ever.

Professors giving starter Pokemon are an exception, not a rule: At the age of 10, any kid can buy a Pokeball and catch their first Pokemon. Joey started with a Rattata after all. The Fire/Grass/Water starter tradition is for kids who apply to become Junior Pokemon League Challengers and are accepted.
