![]() Author has written 6 stories for Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, Ultimate Spider-Man, Teen Titans, How to Train Your Dragon, Life of Pi, and Great Gatsby. Hi fellow fanatics! I'm spmira, and I could tell you a billion things about me but I'll just limit it to four things: 1) I'm a Disney fan. That should be quite apparent when looking at my username. I'm the kind of Disney fanatic who analyzes the Disney classics (e.g. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) and congratulates it on being so well-drawn. I'm the kind of Disney fanatic who cheers Judy Hopps on as she navigates her action-packed career. I'm the kind of Disney fanatic who dances in glee as Elsa uses her powerful ice magic to stop arrows from splitting her skull and uses them to drive thugs off her castle balcony. You get the point. I breathe, eat, and sing Disney 24/7, and I'm always up for the next Disney movie. 2) I'm a How to Train Your Dragon (HTTYD) fan. I absolutely love Toothless and I love Hiccup and Toothless's best friend relationship. My favorite piece of music from HTTYD is the "Flight Theme," and I can quote HTTYD like no other. I've watched it over thirty times...after thirty times, you kind of just stop counting. That's the kind of fan I am, and I'm sure many of you can relate! 3) I love Miraculous Ladybug, and just like the next fan, I root for Marinette hard-core. She is what every girl should get the chance to be: A butt-kicking, super-powered superhero who has excess amounts of courage and confidence. I, for one, also think Tikki is the most adorable kwami ever, am I right or am I right? 4) This is the most important piece of information about me, so if you take nothing away from all this rambling, get this: I AM A SPIDER-MAN HARD-CORE DRIVEN FANATIC! And that is by no means an exaggeration. I've never really gotten into reading comics as a little kid, because I found graphic novels not as in-depth and interesting as 300-page novels about Alex Rider or whatnot. So I, unlike many other kids, never had a "favorite" superhero. I never had the chance. I loved Robin when watching Teen Titans, and loved Flash when reading the Flash novels by Barry Allen, but those were short-lived and, as I found out, not true fanaticism. Of course, then I came across Disney XD's Marvel's Spider-Man (2017) and I realized what I'd been missing. I LOVE this show! Epic action, unbreakable (or not) loyalties and bonds, and a nerdy, relatable hero—THIS was like the perfect concoction of dreamy happiness for this adrenaline junkie! It all started from there and spiraled down into the scary fanaticism you only read about: You know, like buying a tiny Spidey Disney tsum tsum and carrying him around in your pocket, reading the 200-page Spider-Man guidebook called "Spider-Man: Inside the World of Your Friendly Neighborhood Hero," and dressing up as Spider-Man for Halloween and doing ninja moves in the middle of a crowded mall. I don't feel self-conscious about this at all, and that, I guess, is the defining trait of fanaticism. I can read, listen to, and watch anything Spider-Man, not just my favorite TV show Marvel's Spider-Man. I have, of course, watched Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and am rooting for the sequel. I have, of course, started watching Ultimate Spider-Man. I will, of course, eventually get to watching Spider-Man Homecoming and whatnot, but I honestly just love animations a lot more, so I don't see that coming soon-soon. This all being said, I have noticed that Fanfiction.net does not have a "Marvel's Spider-Man" category, only Ultimate Spider-Man, which forces writers to post Marvel's Spider-Man stories as Ultimate Spider-Man when they are quite obviously TWO DIFFERENT SHOWS. So on 2/1/19, after over a year of not seeing anything, I decided to request a category, and I'll post my email here for any other fans who have ever wondered how to ask Fanfiction.net to create a much-needed category for a favorite show that has somehow gotten "overlooked":
All of this being said, I have not had an answer back yet, and have no idea if they will honor my request (I hope with all my heart they will!). If I missed out any semi-major character of Marvel's Spider-Man in this list (that'd be embarrassing), then please, feel free to PM me and I'll try to send them an email with the update. Anything for my favorite show! So I promised four things and I did talk about four things! Okay, so one of the four things was over three paragraphs long, but I ramble a lot, and you'll have to forgive me when it comes to Spider-Man :) Thanks for reading my profile, and make sure to check out the newest episode of Marvel's Spider-Man! Or the newest Disney movie! Or HTTYD 3! Or read the newest novel of Sarah Prineas's Lost Books series! ATTENTION: After 2/11/19, I will take a little "vacation" from fanfiction, so I apologize if any PMs sent my way are unanswered. I will not check my account after 2/11/19, so if you send me anything, I probably won't see it and won't reply. The reason for my leaving is that I have to take care of some other matters first (setting priorities) so I don't have time for fanfic right now. I'm sorry if this is inconvenient for you guys, but I think I've made sure that I haven't left any stories hanging for those of you waiting for updates. If you're a Marvel's Spider-Man fan, know this: in March or so, you can definitely assume that I'll be sitting somewhere avidly watching part 2 of Season 2 of Marvel's Spider-Man, so we're all in it together! If you're a Disney fan, you already know that any Disney movie coming out will flock the most avid fansincluding me! And HTTYD 3 is almost out in cinemas, so hang in there! Thanks for supporting me! And a special thanks to Axenus the Archivist, who supported me when no one else did in a "different" Spider-Man fandom. This is spmira - 2/11/19 |
