San Diego Pivot Doors is a specialty branch of Fenstermann LLC. We build large custom entrance doors from wood or aluminum and set them up as a pivot door. A pivot door has no regular hinges – the actual hardware is on the top and bottom of the door and when the door opens, the main portion opens to the inside and part of it pivots to the outside. Door sizes from 72 inches to 144 inches in height are possible with this hardware. The pivot hardware keeps the door open at 90 degrees or self closes at a little push. Electromagnetic locks are also available that can be integrated to the house security system.
The aluminum pivot doors are custom powder coated to give them a finished look – over 1200 colors are available. As a specialty, we do powder coat most of our doors after we build them – this way there are not visible miters on the finished door.
Our wood pivot doors are built depending on the requirements of the size or design of the door. The door panels are either steel reinforced or from LVL and both styles are finished with solid faces and an edge band. The finish/stain will be done on the jobsite after installation – this means perfect protection of the wood door from start to finish.
Custom handle bars give the doors the finishing touch – custom length, style and color let the door handles be perfect for every single door.
