QuartzFox (nee OffCenterFold) is a Brooklyn, NY native who grew up with a love of words. Her exposure to Rurouni Kenshin is what triggered her fanfiction writing; she had lurked here for many many moons and decided it was about time to start moving her work here from her old and largely defunct website. Her passions of course include reading and writing, but she also likes cooking, chocolate, shiny things, and putting people in the hospital. n_

She answers to "Kitsuneko", "Foxy", "OCF", and several other nicknames, and has used the screen name OffCenterFold for a very long time, but circumstances have prompted her to change it.

She enjoys coherent and constructive reviews. Heaps of praise are also accepted. "Flames" without intellectual backup are disregarded, but constructive criticism or cohesive arguments may be appreciated. She responds often.

She has nothing against canon, but she enjoys exploring alternative options within a universe's reality. It's one of the reasons she's set Megumi in a relationship with almost every single male in RK so far... Still working on Enishi. Her OTP for the universe is Kenshin/Megumi, however, but that work is turning into an epic saga so won't appear for a while. Meanwhile, she's becoming less hostile toward the idea of a Sano/Megumi matchup -- for entirely personal reasons.

She uses s to denote thoughts. Italics indicate flashbacks, dreams, or communiques. She also has absolutely no martial experience and sucks at writing fight scenes, so don't expect too many of those. :P

She has no idea why all her Tales of Phantasia fics all start with "Re" -- REunion, REmission, REvalations, REconnaissance... It just worked out that way and she sees no reason to discontinue the trend.

Unless specifically stated, her stories do tend to contain spoilers, so consider yourself forewarned. She also tends to err on the side of caution regarding ratings. Even her mother has accused her of being a prude...

Incidentally, a moderate portion of her writing has been done over the last twenty years or so; she's just finally getting around to updating and posting some of it now.

Unfortunately, stupid real life keeps getting in the way of important things like fanfiction, so she's not writing or posting as much as she'd like... But she's still around!
