What can I say about me?

I'm 37 years old and I'm a Jersey Girl living in the south. Sometimes I feel like a fish out of water. I really miss the food, especially the pizza. Do you know how tough it is to find good pizza south of Maryland?

I'm quite obsessive about the shows I like.

I love to read Dark Angel fics and now I've taken to writing them. My favorite pairing is M/A but I've also taken a liking to M/Z. I've actually got an M/Z fic in the works. Never really cared for M/L. Not that Logan was a bad guy or anything, I just felt like he wasn't right for her. He could never understand her the way one of her own would.

Labyrinth is my newest obsession. I've been reading a lot of Labyrinth fics of late and decided to try doing one of my own.

I tried my hand at Supernatural fics but I always feel like I'm writing the boys OOC so I usually don't end up following through with them. If you're on the Supernatural IMDb board you might've seen some of my writing on the holiday round robin threads floating around. I'm usually the one who starts them. I love round robins. It's so much fun to start telling a story and see how many twists and turns it takes when other writers jump in. It keeps you on your toes and gets your creativity flowing.

Blood and Chocolate (If you ever have a desire to read this book and see the movie do yourself a favor and watch the movie first. Otherwise, you'll hate it.)

Wicked Lovely (I have read the entire series and the manga and Faerie Tales and Nightmares. I just love Melissa Marr. If you haven't read her work, you're missing out ;)

I must admit that even at my age, I'm stuck on the YA fantasy genre but I do enjoy a classic now and again and adult romance and mystery on occasion when I'm not here reading/writing fan fics, that is.

Manga/Anime

Sailor Moon (I liked the dubs from the '90's when I was a kid but I prefer the subs. I hate that the American version is so overly censored. I mean, Haruka and Michiru cousins? Yeah, right! And, I can't stand how the characters will be talking about serious things like how to kill the monster in the Japanese version and talking about boys and shopping in the American dub. I'm kind of glad Sailor Stars is sub only. Is it sad that I like the idea of Usagi and Seiya together better than Usagi and Mamoru?)

Fairy Tail (I just recently discovered the dub, haven't seen the sub and I'm desperately trying to catch up on the manga.)

Black Butler (the show's got its moments but I like the manga better)

Fruits Basket (the show ended too abruptly, I prefer the manga)

Last but not least, there's this obscure dub from the late '70's my mom bought from the video store she used to work a that I really loved. Unfortunately, my VCR ate it years ago and I can't find it. I finally got the name of it and I even found a VHS copy but it's not the same one. It was called Angel when I saw it and the VHS I found was called Flower Angel but the Japanese title is Hana No Ko Lunlun. Both copies were about an hour or 2 long. It turns out it is an entire series but it is only available in Japanese, no subs and it makes me so sad. I really need to learn Japanese so I can stop missing out on the good stuff.

I'll give you fair warning about my writing: I don't think I'm capable of writing anything without including a fair share of angst. I'm a sucker for a happy ending but it's a long and bumpy road along the way.
