![]() Author has written 1 story for Dragon Age. HELLO, GORGEOUS! 4-26-2014 Has it really been 4 MONTHS since I've been on ff.net? Wow! Crazy how a case of writers block, a promotion at work and the holiday season can affect your life. I finally had some free time to dedicate to my writing! I've since decided to revise and change the title of my orginal story and add a spin-off to my current story, but that will have to wait until I finish my current one! In the meantime, happy reading and happy writing to everyone else. About My Story: Beyond the Realms of Reverie: A Dream of a Dragon, focuses on a girl named Diora, who is literally whisked away into Thedas through the Eluvian. I wanted to model the story in the fashion of a high fantasy fairy tale, in the styles akin to Spirited Away, Alice in Wonderland, and The Chronicles of Narnia. In the words of Hayao Miyazaki, "It's not a story in which the characters grow up, it's a story in which they they draw on the strengths they already have inside them, brought out by the particular circumstances." Expect lots of adventure and romance. It's going to be epic! =) I've already got most of the bits and pieces jotted down as notes and summaries for Dioraverse and her adventures with Alistair and the DAO Gang. I invite you to follow and appreciate your support and patience as the chapters get revised and posted. After all, if you don't review it and you don't follow it, how am I supposed to know if you're reading it and if you like it? This monster of a story -- it's a good monster, by the way -- will lay the groundwork for the next project I have in mind, Beyond the Realms of Reverie: A Girl in Kirkwall. 11-14-2013 Thanks for dropping in. =) I'm such a girly-girl and a lover of all things pretty that it throws people off when I tell them I have an engineering degree and love gaming. I'm an account coordinator for a cosmetic brand (never did use that engineering degree). Even with the traveling and busy lifestyle that comes along with the job (in addition to having just gotten married to the love of my life, being a first time homeowner, and doting on my three cats), I still make time for my favorite hobbies, which includes playing Dragon Age. Can't wait for DAO: Inquisition! I absolutely love Dragon Age and have wanted to do a fanfiction about it FOR-EV-ER. I thought at first that maybe perhaps I would write a story based on the adventures of my warden, but many talented writers have already done that (and done so very well, I may add), and I wanted to write something a little different. I've always wondered what it would be like to live in Thedas, so I thought, 'Why not tell a story then about someone from our own world who literally gets lost in Thedas?' So here it is. I appreciate all reviews, constructive criticism, and suggestions readers have to make. They inspire me to keep going and help me grow as a writer. Thanks so much again for dropping by! “Celebrating love, beauty, happiness, and hope never goes out of style. I aspire to share these things and inspire others in return.“ -Ella |
