About the "author":

Ten Thousand Lilies first created her fan-fiction account in 2006 as an aspiring fan-girl of sixteen. She first discovered the world of fanfiction when her mother finally let her start reading Harry Potter and went into withdrawal when she ran out of books to read. She then promptly fell head over heels in love with the Lily and James story. Lilies' pen name was inspired by hours of stories about the unlikely lovers. Thus started her story It's About Time! which, at the time, Lilies thought was an original idea. After several years and a couple of proper English classes however, she realized her story had some deficiencies and vowed to re-write it. Life, unfortunately, gets in the way and, with the dawn of adult hood, the project went unfinished... That and she forgot her password.

It has been nine years since then and much has occurred. Ten Thousand Lilies is now a married woman with a college diploma and is currently employed as a nurse at her local hospital in British Columbia, Canada.

Alas! Her love for literature, shows or any well told story has not abated! Indeed, her love for the written word has only grown and she now has several new projects on the go including a full length fanfiction starring none other than Draco Malfoy which she hopes to complete in it's entirety before posting.

Lilies intends on furthering her professional career in the future by entering the publishing business and becoming a full time fiction and non-fiction novel editor. It is her life's ambition to publish her own novel and to discover and edit for a famous author.

Besides writing, my hobbies include reading, painting, violin, cross-stitch and terrorizing my two cats and, occasionally, my husband. The fanfictions that I am most interested in are (in this order):

1.) Harry Potter: Harry will always be considered my first love. The plot, characters and universe are so complex and diverse, you can stretch your own imagination to it's limits. Lily/James, Harry/Ginny, and Draco/Ginny romance fictions remain my favorite.

2.)Twilight: No, I am not an LG, I just happen to think it's a pretty awesome love story. More importantly I love the family dynamic of a coven of vampires that was brought together against all odds and learned to love each other and function as a family. Beings that learned to see each other (and themselves) not for what they are but who they are, this -to me- is a very touching subject. This is another universe with a limitless number of opportunities to explore and let your imagination run wild. My personal favorite's are the stories featuring the human and vampire backgrounds of each of the Cullens and their journeys together.

3.) Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus: I only got into this series a year ago and although slightly juvenile, I became completely obsessed. Percy is my favorite 'hero' since Harry and his character is delightfully cheesy, human, heroic and clever. The cool super powers are also a bonus. The same can be said for the sequel set of books. The author provides a whole other set of dynamic, lovable characters and a universe you can explore. Although I love all the characters, I became enamored by Nico di Angelo. This love didn't increase so much as explode, when Will Solace came into the picture and even as a mature career woman, I can't help but fan-girl the shit out of these two.

4.) Avatar: The Last Airbender: This is unarguably the best animated show I have ever seen (and I've seen plenty). The plot is solid, the characters unique and lovable, the dialogue and humor are smooth and natural, the animation amazing, and the background and development of the Avatar universe was beautiful, thorough, and creative. Another universe ideal for fanfiction with complex characters. My favorite character in this universe is Prince Zuko and, despite my usual appreciation for canon, Zuko/Katara fanfictions are my favorites of these.

Beta

My focus these days is not so much writing my own stories. Although I have tonnes of ideas and scenarios and I do have one in the works, I simply don't have enough time to string together stories start to finish. I prefer now to edit and evaluate other people's stories, especially since I am planning to enter this field in the future. I have lots of ideas, a broad imagination, a solid understanding of English devices, excellent grammar, and strong eloquence. I am happy to Beta stories from any universe, not just the ones previously stated.
