Author has written 1 story for Geneforge. I'm new to fanfiction.net but not to fanfiction. I have frequently been inspired by either a book, game, or movie I've watched and started writing stories about them. I love to write as a hobby, but have yet to finish a full length story (I have one or two short stories that are finished, but that's about it). Some of the things that have inspired fan fiction for me are: Marathon (game by Bungie), Geneforge (rpg by Spiderweb Software), X-men (need I explain?), and two mmorpgs called Darkthrone and Adventure Quest (Darkthrone lacks any plot of it's own so I don't consider it fan fiction). The ones I have the most fun, and get the most prolific results are those that have the loosest story lines- the rpgs. The game is whatever you play it to be, and therefore the stories I generate from such a game won't be anything like someone else's stories (I'd like to think). So in essence, the RPG simply becomes the basic structure or skeleton- and I fill in the rest. I have aspirations of being published one day, but I know I'm a long ways off from that. I think I would simply like to know the satisfaction of a complete story written all by me. Until then... My favorite genres are fantasy and science-fiction, but I almost always have a flare of romance as well (I'm a sucker for it, I admit). I've dappled in horror and drama as well, but I think my stronger suit involves unrealistic worlds with magic abound. I always welcome good quality constructive criticism. I consider every comment- though I may not make changes for each one. I do my best to take the good with the bad, but I offer the warning that one had better be prepared to receive the same from me. I can be quite the critical eye- but most authors, I find, appreciate that. Thanks for stopping by. Happy Holidays! |
