AU: Kate Beckett finds herself thrust into a world in which she and Richard Castle have never met. But this world is far more different than she realizes, and not every difference has to do with her relationship with her husband-to-be.

After the death of her mother Kate finds herself in a depressed and bitter. Her friends that surround her are happy and in love and all she wants is someone who understands the pain she feels. One night she goes to the Old Haunt and a chance meeting of a stranger changes her life for good. (THIS IS AU AND CASKETT)

Set in Season 4, Episode 1 after Kate Beckett is shot. Story goes AU immediately after Rick leaves Kate's room in the hospital. Rick takes a very different road, and finds a very different and fulfilling purpose.

She has a baby. She brought a baby back from Haiti. Can you even do that? Season 3 AU.

Set during 4x01: "Rise", immediately after the swing scene. Kate is shocked by how much seeing Castle again affects her. She can't get him out of her head. "So…what? I just wait? Behave like old times? Let things crawl on like before, with neither of us admitting what we really want?"

Beckett is distraught when Castle seems to have finally given up hope on them ever being more than just partners, and he begins to pull away from her, prompting her to face up to her own feelings.

"I love you, Kate," he murmurs softly, the words he's kept swallowed down for almost an entire year finally slipping from his lips. "And I promise if I make it out of this alive, I'll tell you when neither of us are on the brink of death, okay?" An AU version of 7x08, Kill Switch.

What if Castle had decided to go to Kate at her dad's cabin after she was shot? Now its up to Castle to help Kate get over everything surrounding her shooting as she prepares for her return to work and the city.

A post ep of sorts for "Time of Our Lives" 7x06. Castle and Beckett talk about Castle's time in the Alternate Universe. This story can also be a companion piece for my previous story, 'Letters to Beckett' Universe, or it can be read on its own. Slightly AU from the show.

Based off of the headcanon that Castle wrote letters to Beckett during the summer after she was shot. The letters aren't going to be in order, but you can probably gauge at what point during the summer each letter was written. Disclaimer: These characters belong to Marlowe and Co.

What would have happened if Castle never returned to the 12th after leaving with Gina at the end of the 2nd season? My first FF.

A thoughtless remark from Beckett makes Castle give up on them ever becoming more than partners, and he leaves. Without being able to talk to him, Beckett must convince him that he's wrong about her feelings.

Beckett is forced to take two weeks of paid leave, and Castle invites her to the Hamptons with him. She reluctantly agrees, and starts to discover that her feelings for him are stronger than she was willing to admit.

Six months after giving birth to Kate, Johanna takes a walk in Central Park and encounter a ten year old Richard Rodgers.

Kate said she needed her space and after six months, Rick decides to find something...he just isn't sure what it is. This story is obviously AU, picking up after the hospital visit that began season 4.

Sure, all she had done was open the suite door, to return to where she had left him on the sofa. But there was no doubt in her mind that a step into the hotel living room would have effectively pushed the domino that she had worked so hard to keep upright. Starts during 3x22 "To Love and Die in L.A."
