Ahem blinks, steps onto a balcony All hail the great and magnificent VO, she who is wearer of the cheese assistant taps shoulder, whispers something, ahem, bearer of the cheese. She whose mind is like a spinning tilt-a-whirl, without the vomiting. She, whose one and only music video looks like she was on something extremely hallucinogenic when she made it! All hail the perthamogryphic ruler of the permanently batty biting pixie-bots! people below the balcony interrupt: Stop with the introduction and get to the information part already!

Yeah. Just another day in the exquisite chaos that is my mind. And I like sharp cheddar, thank you very much.

About me:

I'm usually just a lurker, reading everyone's wonderful stories, and running internal dialogues and tengential plots in response. This is the first time for me to share some of my stories with other people; I usually keep the bits and pieces that I come up with squirreled away. My plot bunnies also tend to be like mosquitos--annoying bite, relatively short lifespan, and capable of reproducing at exponential rates because the majority of them probably won't survive.

I like all sorts of genres for reading, watching, and writing, but the one that really calls to me is scifi.

My favorite shows:

Stargate Atlantis, Farscape, Andromeda, Stargate SG-1, Earth: Final Conflict, Star Trek:TNG, CSI (the first one), Cold Case, Law and Order:CI, Monk, Medium, Crossing Jordan, Buffy:TVS...

My favorite movies:

The Neverending Story (I. and II., but not III.), Star Wars (all!), Star Trek (First Contact & Nemesis), Scream, Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday the 13th, Thirteen Ghosts, Hypercube (I'd probably like Cube better, but alas! I have only seen Hypercube), The Matrix (the entire trilogy), Underworld, and I could just keep going on and on...I think the only romantic comedy that I really liked was Hitch--I'm not a terribly big fan of the romantic comedy.

My favorite male characters:

I primarily like extremely smart guys/characters. Or extremely crazy ones, but it's kinda that whole thing about the thin line between the two. I like: Dennis Rafkin (cute, and extremely jumpy with a kinda high forehead); Seamus Zlazgny Harper (cute, hyper, and quite arrogant at times); ST:VOY's Doctor (cranky, arrogant, smart, and ultimately much deeper than he might seem. balding.); Shinzon (sexy, bald, smart, and a bit off his rocker, in an angry way); Nigel Townsend (of Crossing Jordan, British, sexily high forehead); Bobby Goren (brilliant profiler); Spike (clever, wide forehead, incredibly angsty); and, most recently, Dr. Rodney McKay (of Stargate: Atlantis. sweet face, brilliant character, charmingly arrogant, laser-sharp wit and--I love this word--snarcastic. and yes, he has a high forehead.)

My favorite female characters:

I admire strong female characters. The kind that can kick a, as well as the brilliant ones. Before SG:A formed, I absolutely idolized Samantha Carter. I admired most of the female characters on Farscape-I never cared much for Noranti, but there were times where even Sikozu got applause. I don't like female characters who sit around and wait for things to happen.

My favorite quotes:

I used to wake up at 4 A.M. and start sneezing, sometimes for five hours. I tried to find out what sort of allergy I had but finally came to the conclusion that it must be an allergy to consciousness.
-James Thurber

Ordinarily he was insane, but he had lucid moments when he was merely stupid.
-Heinrich Heine (1797 - 1856))

He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.
-Friedrich Nietzsche

There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness.
-Friedrich Nietzsche (1844 - 1900), "On Reading and Writing"

My brain is a coward. I get in trouble once and it runs, screaming, for the hills.
-Me
