My name is Karen. I am 25 years of age, married to the most wonderful man I've ever met, and a mother to the most wonderful, cute, stubborn, un-shy, daredevil-ish, and dramatic three-year-old you've ever seen. His name is Jacob, and he is not in fact named after a series of books I cherish so much. I am from north Florida (where the real South ends), and have a dreadful addiction to iced sweet tea. I am very loyal to those I care about, and I love to make those around me laugh from my silly antics. I absolutely love to read! Mostly fiction, I do tend to re-read many books over and over. (The library in the town I live in is... we'll just say it leaves almost everything to be desired.) "Twilight" would have to be the main love currently. I also read the Atlanta series from Karin Slaughter, the Stephanie Plum series from Janet Evanovich, and my other teen guilty pleasure... Sarah Dessen. There is indeed a little shame, but I am working on squishing it. I am very much interested in history. I love discussing wars, past politics, major crimes of history, anything of that nature. When I can not find something that captures my interest in the library, which is often, I find myself here on FanFiction, delighting myself on the works of unpublished authors. Something kinda uncommon about me... I have no Facebook, no MySpace, and no Twitter. Take a second. Okay. Just a few words that don't sound like a big deal, but obviously seems to be to my friends and family. There are two reasons for this. One - I spend so much time with my family and reading I am already neglecting pieces of furniture I should be vacuuming under! I don't have time to read all of those updates! Second, and let us be honest, the real reason, is I have dial-up. Remember that? You were using it in 1997 with AIM or going to Geocities. I still have it. Do you know how long it takes to download a two minute You-tube video with dial-up? Man... |
