I am Duke Statian and I appear in the story Aldnoah.Zero: Parthian Shot as well as Aldnoah.Zero: Of Bone and Blue. My creator writes stories for Aldnoah.Zero and my trans-dimensional alter ego stars in Attack on Titan: Twin Crimson Rose, and yes I am a fictional anime character from my creator's mind who is talking to you now. I tend to break the fourth wall when I'm bored and not hunting Kataphrakts.

Grand Duke has power just under a prince/princess and Arch Duke. Arch Duke is reserved for senior members of the Vers hierarchy who have greater experience.

The Ophir:

Color: Crimson and bone with glowing blue details (including helmet plume and tail) The plume and tail are power fields shaped to create the desired look, neon gas is then contained and an electrical current turns it blue.

Armaments: Kinetic lance and kinetic shield. Kinetic energy that builds up as a result of locomotion makes the lance stronger. The lance is sheathed in an energy field that melts through targets at 100,000 degrees Celsius. Calculations predict that it has an impact power of 49 tons of TNT or larger than any non-nuclear bomb ever exploded. Excess energy can also be discharged from the lance as an energy beam although it has a small range of about 50-100 meters. Diverting all power to the shield can produce a kinetic over-shield that encapsulates the Ophir in a bubble of anti kinetic energy. Kinetic shields reflect all forms of kinetic energy.

Power: Aldnoah Drive and kinetic energy generated by locomotion (for weapons). The Ophir is too big and heavy for one Aldnoah drive to power completely so weapons rely on the kinetic energy produced.

Armor: Heaviest known grade of armor used by the Vers Empire, standard Kataphrakt weapons are ineffective. Lasers are particularly effective as kinetic shielding will not work against them. The energy field that surrounds the lance will repel plasma and dimensional barriers.

Strengths: Fastest known terrestrial Kataphrakt by means of locomotion (walking/running), extremely heavy armor, packs an incredible punch if you are hit by it on the charge, built like a juggernaut/tank therefore very difficult to destroy.

Weaknesses: Lacks reliable ranged weapons except a very short ranged energy beam, flying enemies are impossible to defeat via conventional means, the Ophir has no defense against lasers, difficult to operate in enclosed areas as the Ophir needs room to charge.
