![]() Author has written 5 stories for My Little Pony. I am a student currently engaged in a Computer Science/Physics degree, so I try to make works of fiction as scientifically accurate as possible (where possible). In keeping with this, in the past few years, I have almost exclusively been drawn to science fiction as primary reading material, especially the Dune series by Frank Herbert (and the associated supplementary material). In my youth, I was just as much a fan of fantasy, and I have made something of a hobby of taking the two and mashing them together to the best of my abilities. Regarding such, I have decided for the moment to express some opinions related to the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic universe with the Legends of Equestria series, a five part re-interpretive continuity that will cover the entire history of the country of Equestria. The work will include inspirations from all manner of genera, and I am going to be pulling any punches in deconstructing plots and characters from the main canon. It is a large undertaking (current estimates peg the finished product at around 250 000 words), and will probably occupy all my thought for the next couple of years. (Releasing a chapter a week, that is honestly how long it's going to take to finish -- it's THAT long). As far as bronies go, I may be something of an oddball. (As far as fanfiction goes, the amount of quantum physics, evolutionary biology, economic theory, legal minutiae, demography, and statistics present in my work definitely marks it as odd!) In Progress Work: Legends of Equestria Series: Act I: Ascending Star (complete) Act II: The First Equestrian Civil War (in progress) Act III: The Long Peace (in development) Act IV: The Fall (in development) Act V: Supernova (in development) Other work planned: Inside the Legends of Equestria continuity: Twilight's Coronation, a sequel work to the full continuity An Equestrian Pony in The Emperor's Court, a short explanatory piece detailing the story of Aquos, the first Master of Magic, and her exile in the Great Empire's throne city of Concordia. The Discord Dialogue: an Authorized Biography, the story of Discord's early life, and how he became who he is today. Told in the form of an interview between the Lord of Chaos himself and Twilight, the new Imperial historian. Only Truth Burns Black, a sequel work about an Earth Pony by the name of Black Fire, who will be introduced in Act IV of the main continuity. Equestria Weekly, a fitting ending the the Cutie Mark Crusaders, by now all grown up and grappling with new problems. Supplementary Material: (Since this site only allows text-based chapters, I may in the future make a website or Facebook page for this story, so that I can publish maps, family trees, and other supplementary images in proper formats.) Maps: Family Tree of the Royal House of Equestria Family Tree of the Noble House of the Windcasters of Cloudsdale Several essays concerning physical, biological, and legal interpretations of some of the most important features of the kingdom of Equestria, and the universe itself. |
