Hello to everyone who bothers to read this LOL.

I'm Mik, born and bred in Leicester, England, and a life long fan of fantasy fiction.

My favourite authors are JRR Tolkien, R A Salvatore, Terry Pratchett, Terry Brooks, Laurell K Hamilton, Troy Denning.

I first got hooked on reading fantasy books when a teacher (thank you Mr Frearson) lent me his copy of The Hobbit when I was just 8 years old. A year later and I read The Lord of the Rings for the first (of several) time.

I am currently taking part in an adult education course to improve my creative writing, while continuing with my ongoing fantasy epic based loosely upon the old 2nd Edition of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons role-play game (which I played for many, many years).

A lot of the pieces I'll be uploading will be from my course work and as such will be short pieces (we're often given word limits unfortunately).

I also post several pieces on the Webook site, similar to this one.
