Bellebookworm9 is an online identity that I hold dear and have been using for about 10 years now. Belle, because she’s my favorite Disney princess and I relate to her; bookworm because I love to read; and the number 9 because I graduated 9th in my high school class out of 314. To think that number actually meant something once. Now I also have a Bachelor of Science and a Doctorate in Audiology, and no one cares where you ranked in high school. Let it be known that I read, but I DON’T write. Never had the interest in it, really. I write trip reports for my various Disney adventures and that’s about it. I’ve read hundreds on fan fiction stories over the years, and I recently started beta-ing for the wonderful reppinda5o3, specifically her awesome story Clarissa is a Punk. In real life, I’m a full time audiologist and I love what I do. I also work from home as a travel agent specializing in Disney and have done that for about two years. Finally, I’m very into animal non-profit work, so I volunteer with a low cost cat spay and neuter organization from home three afternoons a week. I also help out in person when their clinics are close to my home. I transplanted from Buffalo, NY to the very northwest part of the PNW. I like it here a lot! Barely any snow so that might be a big reason why... Finally, I have three cats of my own and they are the loves of my life. Carly is 13 and I adopted her in June 2015. She’s my “grumpy old lady” but I love her anyway. She likes cuddles with mom, kxatnipxkicksticks, food, napping, and her mystery motion toy. She does NOT like the other cats. Tiny Sir is 2 and I adopted him in October 2016 from the shelter I was working at. He’s slightly visually impaired and I met him when he was 10 weeks old. He was at my location for a month with his BFF and they were meant to be adopted together; finally they were. Unfortunately, the adopter seemed Tiny Sir (then known as Clive) to be “anti-social” and returned him...alone. I cried and adopted him immediately even though I couldn’t have any more cats and broke my own rules for adoption to do it. Best thing I ever did. He’s the sweetest freaking cat in the whole world. Always has to be near his mom, will follow me around and talk to me. Loves to be pet anywhere and everywhere. No belly teases here - he WANTS THAT BELLY RUBBED! And last but not least there is Gus. He’s a 1 year old Snowshoe mix that I sketchily bought off Craigslist after we moved here and Tiny Sir needed a friend. (#adoptdontshop people - I still feel guilty about it but no reputable shelter was going to adopt to me as I was already over the limit for pets in my apartment). Gus is adorable, friendly, outgoing, and did I mention adorable? They’re all on Instagram at Carly_gus_and_tinysir On this site, I mainly read ShadowHunter fan fiction, though long ago I started out reading Harry Potter and Twilight fics. Emma and Jules are my OTP and they need more stories! But I love reading Mortal Instruments as well, and then Infernal Devices. |
