![]() Author has written 3 stories for Mass Effect. I have always found self-description to be futile, because the impression one's personality leaves on oneself is different from the impression that it leaves on others, much in the same way that one's voice sounds different to an audience than to one's own ears. It's not so much of a product of vanity or self-promotion, but of fundamental limits in human perception. Self-perception is uniquely difficult because the process of perceiving changes the nature of the perceived, and as such, it can never reach a definitive conclusion. Oh good, you endured/understood/skipped that first paragraph. A good sign in each case. Trust me that none of my fanfics here will sound anything like that paragraph. I have come here to write fanfics as a form of release, or relaxation, and as such my main genres are going to be Humor/Friendship. I'm often short on time, so many fics I write will be rough & drafty. I will polish them up if I have time, but most of the time when I publish them they would have already had acceptable quality. Otherwise I won't publish at all. I wish to thank all the excellent writers on this website who motivated me to write. I've been a reader here for years and reviewed countless fics. The names I used are "Perturbation Method", "newtritious", "iOnlySignIn", "Iongcat", and a few others. I like anonymous reviews and will enable them on my own fics. I've never met a rude person in this community - being able to read well enough to enjoy it apparently means the person is civilized. Finally a bit of the stereotypical summary of my likes and dislikes. There are many things I like and very few things I dislike. The things I like which are most relevant to this website are probably Sci-Fi. I am a disciple of the classics, of Verne, H.G.Wells, up to Star Trek and Dune. I believe Sci-Fi should be as logical and self-consistent as possible ("hard" Sci-Fi), and that it should have strong connotations to our own social and cultural issues. I also enjoy a variety of other literature, most notably Shakespeare. The two things I can think of that I dislike are hypocrisy (pretending to be something you're not) and narrow-mindedness (disregarding opinions which conflict with your own).
