My version of the One! America has made her decision. She wants to fight for Prince Maxon, but there is a lot standing in her way: the King, the Rebels, and the other Elite, among other things. To become the One, she'll have to learn to play the games royals play, but can she do it without compromising who she is and what she believes in?

America has been given another chance, and she couldn't be happier. However, she feels as though Maxon is slipping through her finger tips. How will she win him back? Will she be able to become his princess? What does his mother think? Would she be fit to rule even if the odds were against her? (AN: I hate summaries, I'm horrible at writing them, but please read!)

This story follows where Elite left off. America has made up her mind, knows what she wants but she doesn't know how to get there. Maxon knows what he wants, thought he knew how to get there but finds his world crumbling. An already difficult union is tested by secrets, lies and violence. Who can be trusted and what is the truth?

This story continues where The Elite left off. America is trying to win back Maxon, make amends for her missteps at the Report, and become the princess that everyone wants, but with a king plotting her failure, and the Rebels stepping up their attacks, America's not sure she will even survive at the palace for much longer. **Rated T for later chapters

Every thought flew out of my head. There was a sound, echoing through my mind. The sound of violins squealing, squeaking, breaking…the completely chaotic, devastating symphony of heartbreak.
