![]() Author has written 1 story for Harry Potter. Welcome to my profile. Gender: Male Age: 19 Bio: I'm just another fanfic writer in a sea of millions. I have tried some stories, but they haven't really worked out in the past. Currently I am building concepts for future fics and I hope they work out much better than ones in the past have. I find the concept of fanfiction interesting and though I am more likely to read original fiction than fanfiction, sometimes all it takes is one good fanfic to get me intrigued or laughing out loud. A Note on Pairings and my Philosophy towards them: There are no set preferred pairings I have for fanfiction universes. Since different pairings can serve stories for better or for worse, I don't have a certain group that I always have to see together or a certain romance that must be involved. I tend to look at the quality and artistic integrity of the fic rather than which of my favorite characters are together and which ones aren't. This does not necessarily mean that I only read crossover fics or only read non-canon pairings. Instead, I try to allow different circumstances in the fic to play out by themselves and tell the story. That is to also not to say that things which are well-written are automatically good. A fanfic's potential has many forms and there is a lot to take into account. A multi-fandom crossover fic can end up being completely ludicrous in some regards but what if the author manages to pull it off to where it's power in storytelling is superb? Does that not prove the author has the skill to make something work? I may sound like an over-analytical pessimist but I have a different approach when it comes to reading and reviewing fanfics. Favorite Anime/Manga: Im not exactly a hardcore fan but reading and watching remain a simple pastime. I'm more attracted to the classics of anime because I'm a film buff, but a couple of the mainstream ones are okay. Mobile Suit Gundam: Robots flying around and blowing stuff up is always cool. Eyeshield 21: The sports/American football fanatic in me likes this a lot. Death Note: provides a twisted, if flawed in some vantage points, introspective outlook on how far humanity goes to protect and kill one another. It's far from perfect, but it has it's moments. Studio Ghibli films. Code Geauss Books and Authors: Tad Williams: Otherland, Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn, etc. Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman Orson Scott Card Stephen King Harry Potter series: the whole universe is just so...fan-ficable...even though that's not a word. Copyable Sayings: If you have seen something so awesome it couldn't be described, copy this into your profile. If you know people in real life who look like characters in anime without doing cosplay, copy this into your profile. If you like to laugh at cliches, and even cliches in general, copy this into your profile. (We all have to mock what we like sometimes). |
