![]() Author has written 3 stories for Naruto, and Pokémon. Well, hello there people. My pen name is antishock as you probably could tell. My hobbies on this website includes going to stories and posting reviews on simple grammar fixes, and simply reading. I try to write stories, but either they come out horrible or I lose interest in them. Under this introduction you will most surely see something called Naruto CYOA V.1, correct? This is my attempt to kick start original ideas again. Most stories posted in the Naruto section are overused tropes, and I hope to alleviate that for a while with this until it too becomes a trope. Well anyways, you readers are free to use this whenever you want. Go crazy, wright stories, have fun. Yay. Naruto CYOA V.1 The world of ninjas, a tragic place to be. Death and pain rule their domain known as the world in the present times, and humans can't help but to empower it with their greedy nature. A world that without you would eventually lead on into prosperity and away from negativity. But as implied, you have entered this world, whether through reincarnation or inserting your own self into the world, and you are here to disrupt the plot. Don't attempt to skitter on the edges of the world and try not to change anything, for, if you do, trouble will find you. Placed in this world on the day after the attack on Konoha by the Kyuubi, you are given one mission. Survive for 17 years. You start with 0 points. Choose a difficulty to either add points or get no points, you peasant. Choices in this CYOA will either add, take away, or give no points. 0 means nothing happens, '–' means that you take away points, and 'add' means to add points. Choose your difficulty: Rookie of the Year easy, add 30 points The Reserve normal, add 20 points Dead Last hard, add 10 points Civilian die trying, add 0 points Chakra Abilities: Abilities that can be done with chakra. These cost points. Perfect Chakra Control – 8 points. With this, you have absolute control over your chakra no matter how small or big it may be. You do not need to train in order to keep it and it can't be trained to further extents. Ocean – 8 points. With this you have a massive amounts of chakra. Without Perfect Chakra Control, however, your control will be shoddy at best. Elemental – 1 point. Take away 1 point for your first choice then take away 2 points for each extra element you buy an affinity for. Elements are Fire, Water, Wind, lightning, and Earth. Be warned, this simply allows you to choose your element; if you wish for complete control, refer to Elemental Control. If you do not buy this a random element will be assigned to you and only one. Elemental Control – 10 points. Choose an element out of Fire, Water, Wind, Lightning, and Earth. You now have complete control over that element and do not require hand signs in order to do a jutsu of the element you have chosen. In fact, jutsus aren't even needed; just simply will your element to move. Chakra is still applied, however. You may only choose one element. Recovery – 3 points. You pull natural energy out of the air and through magic you turn it into your own chakra. You must be standing still in order for this to take effect. This eliminates the ability to become a Sage however as natural energy automatically turns into your chakra, forfeiting its boons. Regen – 4 points. By using chakra you can accelerate the healing of your body by 10X the norm. If you use more chakra that what is required you can heal faster, but it carries the risk of hurting yourself further if your control slips. You may circumvent hurting yourself with Perfect Chakra Control. Fighter – 3 points. You unconsciously saturate your body with chakra as soon as you register a threat, granting you extra strength, speed, and the advantage of being instantly ready to fight. Repeated use of this ability increases your strength and speed by a small margin each time. Thinker – 3 points. You unconsciously saturate your mind with chakra as soon as you register a threat, granting you the ability to predict your enemy's movements, increased reaction time, and the slowing down of time to 3/4th the usual time flow. Seal Master – 15 points. With the potential of reality bending over for you, who wouldn't want this despite its expensive price? Anything, as long as you have a clear goal in your mind, can be done, even punching the Shinigami in the face. Just make sure to have defense seals or he'll just eat you after you punch him. You are given a total understanding of seals, but do not become cocky. Understanding something does not equate to being experienced in something. For an extra 5 points, you can have the ability to place any seal you wish just by using your fingertips! Chakra is still needed to empower the seals, however. Rabbit in the Hat – 14 points. While not as reality bending as Seal Master, it's definitely very close behind. With this ability you can place Genjutsus on whoever or wherever, however you please. The only limit to what the illusion can entail is your imagination. In addition to this, the only way for an enemy to break out of the illusion is to fatally injure themselves or flare a massive amount of chakra! Also, you can totally be a douche and place the enemy in another illusion as soon as they break out of your first one! Chakra is still needed to empower the genjutsu, however. Nin Nin – 1 point. It's a simple thing really, and while you may find a use for it on battle, it's meant more for entrances! At will, you can create a small smoke explosion that is only big enough to cover you, along with a spray of confetti! Nin nin. Very little chakra and control is required for the smoke. Heaven knows where the confetti comes from, though. Advantages: Anything that can help you along the way. These cost points. Learner – 2 points. Your learning speed is increased by 3X as long as you are being taught by someone. The more you learn about something, the slower the learning speed on that certain subject. Double the Money – 2 points. For some reason, whether it is from a job or selling something, you get double the amount of money! What's Ryo? – 1 point. As a foreigner to the world of ninjas, Ryo, the currency there, will of course be different from what you are used too. However, with this, you can make the Ryo similar to whatever currency you use. For example: One Ryo equals 1 cent and 100 Ryo equals 1 dollar! Theme Song – 1 point. Ever wanted to have your own theme song played whenever you enter a battle? Well now you can have it! Choose a song that you'd like, and whenever you enter a battle it is played much to the confusion of everyone else. Opportunity – 2 points. Good opportunities are rare, bad opportunities are in great spades. With this, it is the opposite way around, with good opportunities hitting you like a freight train! Be careful though; good opportunities don't always lead to good results. Poker – 2 points. Your face can become completely blank whenever you wish, your lies are almost infallible except when the truth is blatantly obvious, and you can dampen any emotions that you may have. Good for getting rid of your fangirliness when you see a character from canon. You may not acquire the Advantage: Feelings if you choose this. Feelings – 2 points. You wear your emotions on your face, it is hard to lie, and your emotions will always be there. However, emotions empower you far beyond what you can normally do and you are seen as trustworthy to the point where people can't help but share their secrets with you. Take advantage of this, you douche, trouncing on the secrets of others. You may not acquire the Advantage: Poker if you choose this. Ninja Thighs – 2 points. Ever wanted to be that one guy who had those thighs? You know what I'm talking about, you couch potatoes. Well, it's your lucky day, because now those thighs are not only better, but they are yours! For an extra 3 points, we will throw in the perfect summer body, meaning abs and a peak physique. Six of them. Enjoy. Just be careful around other people if you decide to reincarnate; a baby with thighs is pretty weird, don't you think? If you do not exercise, these changes will slowly go away, but they can be regained faster than normal. Mine! – 1 points. Any beneficial change to your physique is permanent. Remember those Ninja Thighs you bought? Yeah, they are now yours. Forever. Fangirl Inducing – 1 point. You are hot. You do not have to worry about anything that is seen as nasty or ugly. Pimples are a thing of the past, you smell only after neglecting your hygiene for a long time, and your teeth are perfect. Did I mention you are hot? This does not give those pectorals you crave, sadly enough, but you can combine it with Ninja Thighs to make you ascend to Sexy! For an extra point, you can have a sexy voice, too! Negotiator – 4 points. You are a master at negotiating, and while you still have to give something up, you most definitely will be able to set the terms and exactly what you give up and get. Scam those merchants, scam them to poverty! Speed – 4 points. You are 10X faster than what your body should allow. The more fit you are, the faster you are. Strength – 4 points. You are 10X stronger than what your body should allow. The more fit you are, the stronger you are. Flexible – 4 points. You are 10X more flexible than what your body should allow. Durability – 4 points. You are 10X more durable than what your body should allow. The more fit you are, the more durable you are. Intelligence – 4 points. Your current I.Q. is doubled. This does not affect the wisdom of your choices. Badass – 6 points. Your body is somehow naturally experienced in fighting. You have superhuman reflexes and a danger sense. Disadvantages: Anything that can hurt you along your way. These add points. Hated add 3 points. For some reason, no matter where you go, people hate you. The amount they hate you varies, but nevertheless, they hate you. Wanted add 2 point per listed group. A group wants you, not alive, but dead as you have somehow pissed them off. The possible groups are: Akatsuki, ROOT, and Sound Village. Hungry add 15 points. No matter what you do to assure your success, food always seems to evade you until the last moment. There is a real possibility that you can starve to death, and being hungry can negatively effect you. Have those nice, juicy 15 points for this Hell. Blurry add 3 points. Your eyesight sucks, with whether you are near-sighted or far-sighted being up to you. For an extra 3 points, you can be blind. What? add 3 points. You know who you are, where you came from, and how you came to this world, but you can't remember what you chose much less what was even in this CYOA. Chibified add 1 point. No matter what you do, how sexy your Ninja Thighs are, or what you eat, you are in a child's body, even growing old with it. People will laugh at you a lot. Cursed add 1 points. There is a curse following you, bringing harmless misfortune upon you almost every day. In fact, just thinking about how the clear weather is nice will make it rain. For an extra 2 points, the misfortune can also be painful and deadly. Stabby Stab add 4 points. For some odd reason, people want to stab you. It doesn't matter if they don't even know you, they just want to stab you. If there is something sharp nearby, they will stab you. The feeling is resistible though, so make sure that your friends don't have a weak will. Also, prepare for masses of civilians trying to stab you. Empty Tank add 20 points. You have no chakra within you. You got it worse than Lee does; he can still use chakra to boost his taijutsu. It is a mystery to other people as to how you are even alive. This locks out all of the Chakra Abilities. The confetti from Nin Nin can still be bought though, for 1 point. No one even knows how that confetti is made. Way of Arrival: How do you arrive? Self Insert – You are thrown into the world as yourself, given a backpack with a clean set of clothing and the Ryo equivalent of $100. Reincarnation – You have been reincarnated as a baby somewhere in the world. The conditions of your family is up to chance, so start praying. Destination of Insertion: Where do you arrive? Konoha – 5 points. You have been inserted into the world, whether through Self Insert or Reincartion, inside of Konohagakure. This place, despite being a militaristic village, is one of the nicest villages out there. This is one of the best places to be, but it will cost you. Suna add 1 point. You have been inserted into the world, whether through Self Insert or Reincartion, inside of Sunagakure. This place is in a desert and the heat is unrelenting. The village is not known to be nice either. Kumo – 0 points. You have been inserted into the world, whether through Self Insert or Reincartion, inside of Kumogakure. This place is in the mountains and takes their militaristic nature to the extreme. Despite that though, it is not a bad place to be. Iwa – 0 points. You have been inserted into the world, whether through Self Insert or Reincartion, inside of Iwagakure. This place is barren and rocky; the village itself is very militaristic. Despite that though, it is not a bad place to be. Kiri add 5 points. You have been inserted into the world, whether through Self Insert or Reincartion, inside of Kirigakure. This place is misty and has lots of water. The village does not care about your life. Prepare for a lot of pain. Have those 5 points, you masochist. Random add 1 point. You have decided to take a spin at the Wheel of Fortune for where you will be inserted in the world. Whether you live in a town so small that it isn't on a map, or you are born in a village is all up to luck. Take a point, you deserve it. Choices made, the world slowly alters itself to fit the new reality bestowed upon it. Go forward, young couch potato, and press onward into the world of ninjas! How to write a good story: 1. Learn proper grammar. People out there are Grammar Nazis and they will yell at you for making an itty bitty mistake. 2. Plan the main idea of the story. In order to make a story, you need to have a good idea of what it is going to be about first. 3. Decide how many chapters there are going to be, if there is going to be a sequel, a prequel, or whatever else you can think of. 4. Write a basic outline of each chapter. Each chapter should have at least nine paragraphs showing important actions. Don't take time to detail them. It is an outline, not the story itself. No dialogue should be used in these. Try to get the idea across without dialogue in the outline. Not only will this make the outline easier to understand, since you won't have people yelling everywhere, but it will also increase your writing skills since you will be able to tell people something without having to say it out loud. 5. Using the outline of your chapters, add details to it, therefore extending the chapter. Add dialogue or other Literary Elements to it. Make sure your characters seem real. Have other people read it since one's own opinion to themselves, no matter who they are, is biased. 6a. Make sure you have an update schedule so it's easier to manage chapters. Give yourself at least three days in between each update in order to not stress yourself out which creates a higher chance of writer's block. 7. Never post your first chapter as soon as you finish it. At least write three chapters first before posting the first chapter. Then work on your fourth one. Once your update schedule is on "UPDATE DAY", update your story with the second chapter. By using this method, if you are ever sick or something, you won't fall behind if you missed two Update Days since you already have two chapters ready just in case. 8. This is the most important rule of them all. Don't give up. Don't abandon your story. It doesn't matter if lots of people out there hate it. There are a few special few out there who love it. Don't let them down. It doesn't matter who criticizes you, flames you, just don't back down. Fight back. Never bow to the whims of others. If they criticize you and then tell you what you should add into your story to make it better, tell them this, with these exact words. "Fuck. You." It's your story so don't listen to the haters, and also, never bow down to the lovers either. It's your story, not any of theirs. Now, I want you to practice what I told you to say. Say it. Say, "Fuck you." If you didn't say it, good job, you didn't bow down to my whims. If you did say it, I'm disappointed in you. Go sit in a corner and think about what you've done.
