![]() Author has written 1 story for Attack on Titan/進撃の巨人. Hallo! Ich heiβe Midsommer. Put-upon college student, dabbler in creative writing, eclectic collector of knowledge, skill and experience, appreciator of humor, lover of music. Lying fascinates me as a mechanism, keeping silent is my preferred method of communication. I'm curious about the potential response I get from the few who read anything I bother to post. "I don't believe in love at first sight but I do believe in judging at first sight." Rest My Soul on Fire - The first thing I've ever posted is a piece that could be called a stand-alone. It has not been edited. Perhaps it never will be. I wrote it with a song in mind called Unified Fields by IAMX and borrowed some characters from a brilliant series I don't think I will ever stop loving. Shingeki no Kyojin is one of the most incredible pieces that I think I have ever seen or read. I hope that Isayama-sensei's career continues long and prosperous after this and hope he never loses track of his incredible characters. I hate the ending for this though. I always have trouble writing in Levi's voice because writing bad curse words make me uncomfortable but I think having him say 'brat' all the time is not true to character. Honestly, neither is what I have him say at the very end. That part I will likely fix because it really is terrible. Pop culture things I appreciate: Blacklist (James Spader is an incredible man and the Keens belong together forever); Modern Family (hardly ever watch it but it's the first comedy I've ever liked at all); Marvel (Civil War, specifically James Buchanan Barnes, is going to kill me); Benedict Cumberbatch (saw him in my first ever experience of Hamlet! Also, he makes a good Sherlock Holmes. Judgement pending on casting as Dr. Strange, as of now, don't like it); Shingeki no Kyojin (action coupled with political thriller and characters that all have depth and... well... character); One Piece (this was new and unexpected since it's been going on nearly as long as I've been alive. It also falls into the category of comedy-type spoof humor that I don't like but ever since Trafalgar Law showed up and I discovered Portgas D Ace I've been simultaneously working forwards and backwards and realize that our dear rubber captain is not as annoying as I once thought.); Durarara! (another thing I never thought I would enjoy but I adore Celty, and keep watching hoping that Izaya will eventually do something human. This is on my to-read list); Zankyou no Terror (one of the most wonderful soundtracks and art I have ever heard and seen in any anime); K-Project (interesting idea, exploring the ramifications of powerful individuals who are chosen, not made); Downton Abbey (because who doesn't love Downton? Also, I feel in Mary a certain kindred soul. Only wish I had the guts to snark at everyone I met) We're all mad here -Lewis Carroll |
