Loki truly died as he fell from the rainbow bridge. Many years later a human reincarnation of Loki is found by Thor. Despite the fact that his former brother holds no memories of him he is determined not to lose him again. Yet this may be difficult seeing as the new human Loki is in some serious trouble and unwilling to accept help. Thorki/AU/Avengers never occurred
