![]() Author has written 5 stories for Final Fantasy VII, Magic Knight Rayearth/魔法騎士レイアース, Final Fantasy X-2, Labyrinth, and Final Fantasy VIII. A little about me: Hey there! It's me! I'm a 20 something year old bisexual female who loves fantasy and doesn't love when everyone and their mother in a fanfic is a homosexual. I am just about to graduate with a degree in German... which I plan on doing nothing with. Instead, I plan on being a mime and magician, all the while sewing costumes for commission and my troupe. Born n' raised in K-State central, Kansas, I have a strong aversion to a certain certain Purple Wildcat. I grew up with 5 rowdy older siblings and have become the craziest of them all, and oddly the most mature if you'll believe me. My dad's a negative Nancy and my mom is psycho so it all balances out... usually. Favorites/Inspirations: FYI: Regarding things as part of a series, specifically regarding books and movies, I typically love all in the series, I'm just putting my favorite from it to force myself to pick one. There are so many good things out there, I know, but it seems individual works of art are often lost in the greatness of the series so here's my homage to the greatest of the greats (in my opinion). Also, my guilty pleasures are just that, things I consider to be shameful that I enjoy. They have their merit and I wouldn't begrudge anyone else enjoying them, I'm just embarrassed I do. Books: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows; JK Rowling, Ender's Game; Orson Scott Card, Neverending Story; Michael Ende, The Looking Glass Wars; Frank Beddor, The Princess Bride; abrid. William Goldman, Trickster's Queen; Tamora Pierce, The Will of the Empress; Tamora Pierce, Peter Pan; JM Barrie, Through the Looking Glass; Lewis Carroll, Lord of the Flies; William Golding, and, and, and... Gulity Pleasure: Lolita; Vladimir Nabokov Movies: Advent Children, Ever After, Labyrinth, Monte Python and the Holy Grail, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Star Wars: A New Hope, Spirited Away, Ponyo, Up, The Princess Bride, The Lion King, Newsies, Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End. Guilty Pleasure: Pokemon: The Movie. TV Shows: House, GLEE, The Office, Heroes... I don't watch too much TV. Guilty Pleasure: Scrubs. Manga: Magic Knight Rayearth, Immortal Rain, NOW, Hellsing, Record of Lodoss War. Guilty Pleasure: Naruto pre-Shippuden. Anime: Fushigi Yuugi, Magic Knight Rayearth, Cowboy Bebop, Yu Yu Hakusho, Trigun, Outlaw Star, Bleach, Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni, Digimon. Guilty Pleasure: Inuyasha. Music: The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Queen, Nobuo Uematsu, Michael Buble, Goldfinger, Limp Bizkit, Bare Naked Ladies, Bowling For Soup, Creed, Skrillex, Neo Tokyo, Deadmau5, David Bowie, Cranberries, Evanescence, Shinedown, Stephen Lynch, Showtunes (Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Seussical, etc.) Guilty Pleasure: Early Brittany Spears. Games: Final Fantasy VII, Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, Kingdom Hearts, DDR, Rockband (Bass all the way baby! Woohoo!), Super Mario Bros, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Halo (3 for online playing), Left 4 Dead, Mario Kart Wii. Guilty Pleasure: Final Fantasy X-2 Pairings and Characters: FYI: I'm all into canon, I love it and like to squeeze every bit of new information I get to fit with canon. I do have non-canon likes, but in general that's because they make sense to me and fit with the story. Also, I tend to really like the villains from things, so I'll just leave them out in general since we all understand they're obviously the best. I'm attracted to evil, what can I say? FFVII: Tifa/Cloud, Aerith/Zack, Elena/Tseng, Shera/Cid, Barret/Elmyra. Guilty Pleasure: Aerith/Tseng. I adore Aerith and her pluckiness and hope to one day own a full wardrobe of her outfits from various sources. I love thinking about her different relationships with people and what might have been with all of them, though in the end I believe she was always Zack's girl. I hate to say I have a tender spot in my heart for Sephiroth, but I do. His mommy complex and decline into insanity prove to be quite interesting topics. Lastly, I think Barret's a cool guy. I love the care he has for his adoptive daughter and the conviction he has for his goals. Favorite/Least Favorite: Aerith/Yuffie. FFX/X-2: Yuna/Tidus, Paine/Baralai, Lenne/Shuyin. Guilty Pleasure: Yuna/Brother. First I'd like to say I think Rikku is a whore. I think she perpetuates the bad stereotype of a bisexual horndog and I despise her for it. I'll admit she is a good friend and a prime example of carefree youth, but I can't stand the sublte "I'm sexy, I know it and let's get into bed" vibes I get from her character. I admire Yuna and Lenne for almost identical reasons; they want to do their best for the people they love. They are both strong women who face very difficult choices, but that only makes them stronger. I see in them things I wish I saw in myself; decisiveness and determination. Favorite/Least Favorite: Yuna/Rikku FFXIII: Snow/Sarah, Lightning/Fang. Guilty Pleasure: ... I don't think I have one. Wow. Not much to say here. Sazh is amazing, the writers did a fantastic job with his character. He reminds me of a goofy (and black) version of my dad. Barthandelus is really gross. Favorite/Least Favorite: Fang/Vanille. Magic Knight Rayearth: Hikaru/Lantis, Umi/Ascot, Fuu/Ferio, Clef/Presea, Emeraude/Zagato, Eagle/Geo. Guilty Pleasure: Lantis/Eagle, Hikaru/Nova. Hikaru makes me think of what I would do if I landed in some fantastic world at age 14 (okay, okay, now too). Her curiosity and steadfast loyalty in her friends make her a force to reckon with. Then comes her counterpart, Nova. All I want to do is take her home and squeeze her to death; she's just too adorable. Plus her psychotic tendancies make her by far the most hilarious person in the series. Nova = Win. Favorite/Least Favorite: Nova/Umi. Hellsing: Integra/Alucard. Guilty Pleasure: Walter/Alucard, Alucard/Rip van Winkle. I don't remember much from this series, I suppose it's time to rewatch it! I heart basically every character in this series very much, and its a very close tie between Walter and Integra as my fave. Favorite/Least Favorite: Walter/... no one? Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: Link/Malon. Guilty Pleasure: Link/Sheik, Zelda/Ganondorf, Link/Zelda. *cringes* Okay, explanation time. One of the first things I was told before I even played any of the Zelda games was that Link and Zelda were siblings, and I took it to heart. That doesn't mean I don't like Link/Zelda pairings (see above), in fact one of the best fanfics I've ever read is a Link/Zelda pairing. (It's called Fortitude; by Ingie... go read it NAO!) I think Sheik is his own person, and I won't get into why here. That's a big long debate best left untouched because both sides have their opinions. Its one of the few canon things I strongly disagree with. Finally, let's have a chat about Navi. I am with the masses that she was, is and ever shall be the worst supporting character in the history of everything. I feel bad that she suffers so much malcontent and in practically every fanfic ever she is killed off, but she really is useless and annoying. Favorite/Least Favorite: Ganondorf/Navi. Yu Yu Hakusho:Yusuke/Keiko, Kuwabara/Yukina, Genkai/Toguro. Guilty Pleasure: Kurama/Hiei. I have regrettably still not watched even half of this series. I love what I have seen, but I never make the effort to watch more. Yoko Kurama was my first love, we first met in March, 2003 and my heart literally skipped a beat when the smoke cleared and instead of a little baby red head there was this God of a fox demon. Because of this I despised Hiei for the longest time. But, as with most first loves, Kurama and I grew apart. I finally relented and begrudgingly admit that Hiei is kind of cool and that he and Kurama go great together. Damnit. Favorite/Least Favorite: Genkai/Elder Toguro. Kingdom Hearts: Sora/Kairi, Axel/Roxas. Guilty Pleasure: Sora/Riku. When the first commercials for Kingdom Hearts premiered on cable in 2001, I nearly peed my pants in excitement. Moments later I went and cried in my room knowing I would never play it. (My dad was a stickler for reading/ outdoor activities as the only source of entertainment. He hates video games.) I got my first console (my trusty PS2) the summer after 8th grade and used it mostly to play DDR for hours at a time. My best friend at the time then proceeded to get her knee kicked out and DDR was left to collect dust. August 13, 2005 I received my very own copy of Kingdom Hearts. I cried so hard I had to rewatch the opening sequence because I couldn't see anything. To date, I have beaten it 3 times and it is still second in my heart only to Final Fantasy VII, the first RPG I ever played. There is so much to say about this game, I could go on and on about the characters and the story so perfectly woven with Disney lore, but I shall keep myself in check. Favorite/Least Favorite: Xigbar/Larxene. |
