Fanfiction~

I think I come to fanfiction when I am unsatisfied with the cannon series. Not just in the sense of wanting and craving more but in just generally being displeased with the cannon series in some way. My first obsession was Sango and Miroku fan fiction which I believe came from the feeling that there was not enough focus on them in the Inuyasha series since they were only secondary characters. A lot of the time the secondary characters in Anime and Manga are my favorites. I think part of that might be that the writers/authors give you just enough about the character that you become interested in them, but still leave a lot about them to be interpreted. What's great about fan fiction is that it gives people the opportunity to flesh those characters out.

Currently I am obsessing over Ino in almost any pairing. I love the Naruto fandom so much more than the series itself. The series has a ton of amazing characters that you don't get to see very much of which fans can take off with here. A lot of people hate that the fandom is so obsessed with pairings because the series basically doesn't care about them. It went on for over a decade(? IDK to lazy to research) and there was absolutely no romance in it. I personally love the pairings and think it is a flaw of the series that we see so little. Fanfiction on the other hand has an overflowing romance section within Naruto that I love to explore! My current writing inspiration is my dissatisfaction that my girl Ino ended up with that Quaker rice snack Sia.
