A witty sky pirate with opaque walls, Shae finds herself swept away in the flow of Princess Ashe's Resistance when she steals from Rabanastre's palace treasury the same night as a simple thief and a pair of adept pirates. She tags along for the ride in hopes of getting long-awaited revenge on Vayne Carudas Solidor, and at the end of the day, all Balthier wants is some answers.

She is a childhood friend of Balthier. Someone from the past with all sort of familiarity toward Ffamran. Then again, she was the childhood friend, left behind in the city while he ran from his homeplace. However, the Gods seems to rather fond in presenting him a chance of meeting her again.
