The tone of the heart monitor rings in her ears, the length between beeps steadily growing. She holds his hand, trying to focus on anything but the way his skin is already cooling, the way his fingers weakly grip her own.

When Castle and Beckett have a quiet night in planned, they realise just how far awry their plans can get, thanks to an old acquaintance. The heart is not a thing to be trifled with, but isn't possession nine tenths? (Smut warning)

"You want me to wear this?" Beckett holds up a red lace merry widow trimmed in faux white fur. "I'm not sure that you've been good enough to deserve it." Kate and Rick exchange early Christmas presents.

The years go by, and the etchings on the stone remain untarnished by age, wind, and rain. The grass never makes it high enough to conceal the words, January 9th, 1999. Moments in the passage of time that showcase the things that have changed, and the things that somehow, never do.

Since we won't get a new episode on October 22, I decided to write this short fic. It takes place during season 5. I challenged myself to write a story without using any dialogue. "Oh, I'm pretty sure I'll think of something." There's a lilt to the end of her sentence, a trace of temptation through the words, like she's planning something or thinking dirty thoughts, and he just can't get over how much he loves this side of her, that he gets to see it. Post 5x01

If it were possible for time to stop, for the earth to pause in its spinning, it would happen for them on this night. The hours between "Always" and "After the Storm." Now complete.

It's two o'clock on a Saturday afternoon and they've yet to get dressed, have spent the entire day camped out on his overstuffed leather couch, watching movies and teasing each other mercilessly with fleeting caresses and innuendo laden comments. One shot. Complete.

They can't do this here, not with Gates next door, they can't – but she's frozen in place, can't make a move even if her life depended on it. And then she feels his hands on her ankles, slowly inching higher, feels his fingertips lightly caressing her calves, his warm breath hitting her skin. "Castle", she chokes out. A short, plotless smut. Contains adult scenes, and minor cursing.

"Trying to tell you no, but my body keeps on telling you yes. Trying to tell you stop, but your lipstick got me so out of breath. I'd be waking up, in the morning probably hating myself. A jolt of adrenaline raced through her suddenly, singing through her veins and thrumming in her muscles, causing the corner of her lips to tilt upward until she was grinning. Even all alone in her kitchen, containing her excitement was impossible. Oneshot.

It's the Fourth of July and Castle invites Beckett over for some, uh...fireworks.

His books kept her from drowning in her sorrow, from going down that rabbit hole and never come back again. And now he did this himself, in person. And it was so much better. Even so much better. !MA-rated content! *NOW COMPLETE*
