This story picks up where the series left off. After returning from Paris, Jane moves to Virginia and Maura goes back to her job as the Chief Medical Examiner. Both women struggle with how to live their lives separately while still maintaining the friendship they value so deeply. Slow burn Rizzles.

Slightly AU Rizzles. Experienced homicide detective, Jane Rizzoli, is making a new start at Boston PD, the same time that they gain a new medical examiner. I don't want to say much more and give the story away! I'll be adapting cases from the show and keeping true to it as much as possible.

After a difficult case Jane and Maura fall asleep in each other's arms. What happens when our two favourite heroines wake up?

Jane never believed in love at first sight. Nor did she think it was possible, when her partner told her he knew after only two days...but then she met someone.

Maura falls ill and Jane is there for her. Eventual Rizzles. This story is very close to my heart.

Maura shakily raises both her hands over her head, looking directly into the eyes of the second person to hold a gun to her head today. "You must be Auntie Jane," she says weakly.

Jane gets stood up on a date. Burned and embarrassed she retreats to the only place where she knows she will find comfort and peace.

Okay, this is pretty much as far out of my comfort zone as I can get. I just hope I can do it the justice it deserves because in my head it was glorious and amazing. Warning: it's steamy. Or at least I hope it reads that way. Very M rated. A different twist on why they attend events together when they are not a couple. Oh yes, there will be Rizzles! A rizzles explosion.
