Hello!

I just realized I didn't have a bio...well, here it is now!

Thank you for reading my stories and poetry. I very much appreciate reviews, so long as they are constructive.

You have to wonder when you come to fanfiction.net, just how all these fans got into writing fan fiction for all these various genres. Here is my tale for each genre I write about:

~*Lord of the Rings*~

My first Tolkien encounter was when I was small and saw the cartoon version of The Hobbit. I loved the movie but never owned it, and so I did not think about it until I was sitting in a movie theatre one day. A preview came up for a great looking movie in which I recognized hobbit characters and the wizard Gandalf. To prep for The Lord of the Rings movies, I read The Hobbit, which I immediately adored. I bought the LOTR books, but only read the prologue before seeing and falling in love with the first movie. Since then, I have seen all 3 movies at least 4 times in theatres, read the books 1 2/3 times, and bought the available theatrical and extended version DVDs. I love the hobbits best, especially Pippin. The first fan fic poem I ever wrote was about him.

~*The Last Unicorn*~

In a similar situation, I saw the cartoon movie when I was young, and then I forgot about it. I bought the movie recently and have relapsed into obsesssion. I am now reading the book, which is great (except for an excess of similies, in my opinion). The music of the movie really speaks to me.

~*Peter Pan*~

Like all the former situations, my fandom began at a tender age, when exposed to the cartoon movie. I wasn't particularly enthralled by it, but much later in life, I revisited J. M. Barrie's world when my high school put on the play. To prepare, I read the original book, which was so much deeper than the children's cartoon, mostly because it did not have a happy ending. I watched the Mary Martin musical version, and studied the script, thus versing myself in this fantastic creation.
But what really tied me to this work is the fact that I had the oppertunity to play the title role. This was the most brilliant theatre experience, the funnest time on stage, and the deepest dramatic relationship to a character that I have ever had. That connection cannot be severed, so it continues in the form of fan fiction.

Thank you for sharing my love for these classics. I hope you enjoy my writing and are perhaps inspired to write some of your own!
