Author has written 1 story for Harry Potter. NOTE: My current fic is on hiatus until I have the money to have my laptop repaired. Such are the woes of living on the budget of a college student. Well, I suppose it's about time I did this... About me: I'm currently in community college, but hoping to transfer next year into a school with a good pre-med program (do many aspiring neurologists write fan fiction? Probably not...). My favorite series of all time, hands-down, is Harry Potter. Nothing particularly original there, but I grew up with these books, and now that I've read the last one more times than I care to count, I settle for fan fiction- reading and writing- to fulfill my need for the magical universe that I wish I could be a part of. I am ashamed to admit that I was once a huge Twilight fan. However, as I was about fourteen at the time, I feel this can be forgiven. What CANNOT be forgiven is twenty-five year old women who still think Edward Cullen is every girl's dream guy. I am a ginga ninja. Only one in my entire family (Mom, is there something you're not telling me?). Even though I'm approaching my twentieth birthday, I still prefer young adult and even children's novels to typical "adult" stories. I feel like authors who write for young people tend to be a lot more creative and imaginative than those who churn out several cliche mystery or horror novels every year. Favorite color: Green Favorite number: 9 Favorite animals: Cats and owls. I actually have a stuffed snowy owl on my bed that I call Hedwig. I also have a stuffed spotted owl that I call Butt Toupee. Yes, I am that lame. Favorite books: Ahhh, so many... Harry Potter, obviously; I've been pretty hooked on Scott Westerfeld's Leviathan Trilogy lately; The Hunger Games; His Dark Materials; I've gotten into some steampunk-style stuff lately, but, just like vampires, dragons, and wizards a few years ago, I feel it's being overdone; a lot of Stephen King stuff is really good, but I kind of get the feeling he's starting to run out of new ideas... hmm, I know there are a lot more, but I just can't think of them right now. Suffice it to say I've got hundred of books in my bedroom, and three book cases, my desk, and the bottom half of my bed COMBINED are nowehere near enough to hold them all. I've racked up so much money in overdue fees at my local library I can't afford to pay them off, and I can't afford to buy any new books. SADNESS. Favorite movies: Again, Harry Potter, though of course they can't hold a candle to the books; Monty Python; some 80's stuff; The Men who Stare at Goats. I haven't really seen that many movies, I usually prefer plays. Favorite TV shows: The Simpsons; House; Whose Line is it Anyway (reruns, of course)... I don't watch much TV, either. I love acting, I did a lot of it back in high school. Am I good? I think so, but that's a matter of opinion. I've played men several times, but I think that's mostly because there weren't enough guys in the drama club. I'm not a big gamer. I sort of lack the hand-eye coordination to be very good at anything more difficult than Spyro. I do own a PS3, though, which I mostly use to play the LittleBigPlanet games. Poor spelling drives me crazy. That said, I know that my own writing sometimes contains spelling errors. This is mainly because I am usually tired by the time I finally get a chance to write. I'm busy during the day, and then I have class till 9:30, so I'm usually pretty exhausted by the time I sit down with my computer. Please forgive me for not always picking up on my mistakes. I guess that's pretty much it. Not very interesting, I know. |
