Elena loves Stefan, even if he is a vampire. She doesn't know what she's been missing, though. Her mind starts to wander and dream of his mysterious brother. There's nothing wrong with dreams, right? Takes place during season one.

At the end of season 1 when Damon kisses Katherine thinking it's Elena. In my story it was really Elena and this will follow her struggle to keep Damon away and then her eventual giving in. Follows canon events in season 2.

In the fallout of Katherine's betrayal [Fool Me Once 1.14], Damon is back at his hedonistic best. Stefan goes to Europe to track Katherine down before matters escalate, leaving Damon in Mystic Falls to watch over Elena. As Elena and Damon grow inexorably closer, she struggles to deal with the reality that Stefan might not be the only Salvatore brother with a place in her heart.

AU - Elena and Damon cope with the loss of Stefan, after Alaric kills him trying to rescue Elena. Alternate continuation from Ep. 1x17.

Thirty years later, during a reunion trip to Mystic Falls, Damon and Elena cross paths again - but Damon does not remember their story either. My take on what happens after the S2 finale. Much Delena for your pleasure, slow-burning since I don't think she'd just kick Stefan to the curb w/o a backward glance, and b/c I actually believe she DOES love them both. M for sexiness and violence.
