At fifteen years old Yuuri is supposed to be transported to Shin Makoku and become the 27th Maou. Unfortunately for him, something, or someone, interferes with this plan and he arrives a little bit early. How will a country just barely maintaining peace after a horrid war handle a thirteen-year-old double black? And how exactly did he get transported there so early?

Yuuri is transported into the dragon infested wilderness of Shin Makoku as a child. He raises himself and learns to use his maryoku as events in the kingdom transpire without him. Years later, a scuffle leaves a certain half-human wounded on the doorstep of the Dragon Woods. Yuuri saves Conrad, and plans begin to unfold.
