Current Project: 'Skeleton Closets' or 'Brendon'

This is a story I've been working on on and off for a little over a year that explores Elli and her character. It started out as a quick drabble written as if Elli had had a second brother named Brendon. His presence sort of scrabbled the interpersonal-relationships of the characters and I ran with it. Then suddenly, without quite realizing it, his story had collided with each subplot of the game. He'd touched each one of the characters of Mineral Town for better or for worse and I wanted his story to be told.

The story starts in Elli's junior year at college abroad, which is harshly interrupted by disturbing news from home. Instead of participating in a prestigious internship Elli ends up truly going home for the first time in three years. Much has changed not only in the villagers and it's new occupants but inside Elli herself. However, perhaps not everything has changed as much as it seems and soon Elli realizes there are demons in her past she has yet to face.

The story is told through third person with a focus on Elli. However it also continually explores Karen and Popuri's thoughts with cameo's from Tim and Mary as well.

(It's currently teetering around 17,601 words. I say teetering because some of those chapters are still being reworked and slid around some. My original plan was to finish the story completely before posting it, though I might be rethinking that.)
