Master Fanfiction List:

1. Surviving The Line of Duty: A AU of “In the Line of Duty” that I am hoping will develop into a series of fanfics in this AU. Jolinar will survive and stay blended with Samantha. Later in the story and series the main and only pairing will be Sam/Jolinar/Martouf/Lantash.

My views on the Shipper (Sam/Jack): What this is to a certain degree, in my mind, is the old sterotype of the woman needing a big strong man to protect her. This is ridiculous in the modern age. In modern times when nations around the world have many women in their armed forces, it is no longer the majority of women that need to be protected and shielded like that.

My Personal Views:

Conservation and the Environment: I am a supporter of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society(SSCS). They are most well known for interfering with and attempting to stop the illegal Japanese whaling industry in the Southern Ocean, as filmed on the Animal Planet show Whale Wars. The Japanese claim they are killing whales legally for research under a part of the law however I believe like Sea Shepherd that the clause under the ban on commercial whaling about the Southern Ocean being a Whale Sanctuary has legitimacy and has protection over the clause that allows a number of whales to be killed in the name of scientific research. Anyway, the Japanese are not doing research on the whales because they have not released a research results paper in years and the whales are immediately butchered on board the factory ship and sold as required by the scientific whaling clause. They are some of the most controversial, most hated, and at the same time also loved, of environmental organizations because of their tactics and how effective they are with those tactics.

I think the environmental/conservation movement would get a lot further if instead of launching mass door-to-door media, claiming Sea Shepherd's ships were Greenpeace ships to get more money and mailing campaigns, Greenpeace also adopted SSCS's level of direct action. For instance, they spent millions on a environmentally perfect, sailing vessel that is much, much slower than the Sea Shepherd's flagship vessel, the Steve Irwin and thus could not be effective in Antarctica to save the whales. If Sea Shepherd had Greenpeace's funds, they would have ended Japanese whaling in the Antarctic long ago. If they(SSCS) and what they do offends you, you are pro-whaling, or just anti-SSCS, I apologize and will warn in a author's note at the beginning of any fanfiction chapter that will contain any of my views on these subjects.
