A period of Darkness has befallen Middle Earth. Sauron has risen once again, intending to destroy the Free Peoples of Middle Earth and set himself up as supreme Lord and Ruler; against his immense army there is no hope. With these insurmountable odds, Olympus is forced to send aid, and Percy wakes up in Middle Earth with only one objective: topple the Dark Lord from his throne.

Athena is being unfair, really. Who was he to know he had to ask for her permission for Annabeth's hand in marraige? Did other demigods talk to their godly parents before marrying? No, no they did not. But no, Athena just had to go crazy-angry. So now he's trapped in a world he didn't know, and what's worse is, that he's not even human anymore. Much less a demigod.
