I don't have Facebook or myspace instead I live in the dark ages where I only email and text. Although I am preparing to jump on the bandwagon.

Scratch that I now have Twitter, which I subscribed to on a whim! Im Aranel_Mirfain and I'll probably barely use it lol I just wanna follow other people.

I love reading Harry Potter, Twilight and Lord of the Rings fics. But you can probably tell that from my looooooooong list of favourite stories lol.

I am also a writer, but a lot of what I write is my own creation so I don't post it online. I am working on some Potter and Twilight stuff but I won't be posting anything till I've finished writing them, that way I won't get distracted. I have a tendency to do that, it's one of my biggest faults.

I'm studying English Literature at University. Before this I spent two years travelling when I wasn't working. I had the good fortune to visit St. Petersburg, Brussels, Rome, Florence, Pisa, Verona, Venice (during carnivale), Las Vegas. All diverse and wonderful places :) :) My next big trip is America again after uni (Forks and Seattle included lol) also Canada, Europe via the Orient Express particularly Vienna, and Italy again as I love being there (definitely going to Volterra). As you may have guessed I love to travel :)

My musical tastes are very eclectic. I love Puccini, Verdi, Muse, Sinatra, We Are Scientists, Enya, Pavorotti, Vera Lynn, Gracie Fields, The Andrews Sisters, Dean Martin, Elaine Paige, MCR, Sea Wolf, ACDC, Judas Priest, Meatloaf, Metallica, Enya, Kings of Leon, Kasabian, Lady Gaga...you see what I mean lol :)

I'm the same with TV and Films. At the moment I'm really in to Sex and the City, Doctor Who, Nurse Jackie, Einstein and Eddington, Planet Earth, QI, Red Dwarf, The Mighty Boosh, Queer as Folk, Cranford, Charles II the Power and the Passion... Although one thing I adore is Top Gear!!

Films...Hmmm, again very eclectic. But at the moment I'm watching The Mummy lol. One of my favourites is Chocolat. I also like The Singer, Withnail and I, Velvet Goldmine, The Hangover...

Researching for Dissertation, please PM me if you have any recommendations for early twentieth century literature that deals with WW1 or 1920s and 30s :) (I'm already looking at Evelyn Waugh, Hemmingway, Vera Brittain, Nancy Mitford, Remarque) and also WW2 literature, I have read a lot but I'm desperate to find new things :)

Recently revived my passion for Silent Movies.

Obsessed with 'The Nutcracker' and love ballet!!! Can't and don't dance myself though I have no coordination!!

Planning a trip to Europe for post third year at uni, any recommendations for literary/music/art/dance related things that are rather off the beaten track? E.g when I go to Italy (again but I do LOVE it) I really want to go to one of the Opera festivals, I'm not an expert and don't pretend to be but the only one I know of is the Verona Opera festival, is it as good as I have heard? Or can someone recommend something else? I'm a lover of tradition but really appreciate new ideas so something with a mix of old and new would be great :) PM me if you have any suggestions :)

If you are a Twilight fan and love the Volturi, particularly Marcus, I must recommend 'Marcus' by 0D Malfoy1!!!! Its brilliant and can only get better!!! This is rated M so no kids please!!! I just love it so much I need to spread the word :)
